Run liquid on the HD 4870 x2!!! There are adapters on newegg!!! You will be supprised how much better it will perform. If you overclock it.

was fürn netzteil ist auch noch nicht entschieden

ich würde ein 600 watt netzteil nehmen... falls du aber jedoch noch zusätzlich eine weitere graka einbauen würdest, dann nimm lieber mal 700... sonst sieht es sehr gut aus... bei der cpu kannste aber auch den neuen Phenom II nehmen... muss aber nicht sein, da du ja den 9850er mit dem Mainboard locker auf 3.2 Ghz bringen kannst und das reicht für alleeees!

I have a Phenom 9950 BE on 3.2 Ghz and it's just awesome... Phenom with ATI Radeon and a SB750 Mainboard from AMD harmonize very well ;D ... intel + ATI Radeon ain't good!! Phenom CPU's are very good at game power...

may be... I had an Intel CPU, it was good too but not at games... I have the feeling that my Phenom rocks when playing games...

Almost every game does better with an intel cpu. Look up benchmarks before you talk. Like look at company of heros, its just sad how much the phenom sucks on it... Crysis also runs faster on Intel...

It don't matter what CPU you have if you're playing games at high resolutions... At high resolutions the graphics card is much more important.. I play at 1920x1200 and my Phenom allows my X2 to get higher FPS as my Intel CPU (Quad 6600 3 Ghz) ... That's why I'm telling you that my Phenom rocks when playing games...

but the q6600 doesnt cost more, its basicly the same price. Its like saying here is a Porsche for 100bucks, and you buy the miata for 100 bucks...

and you dont know you dont need it untill you try it, higher cpu clock = less gpu bottle neck, so not only if it gonna boost your cpu performance but your gpu too...

how much v-core are you using??? what about core temps under load??? i have the same setup with a gigabyte MB nad 8GB of RAM bot done much benching or testing yet but all looks good so far

- AMD Phenom 9950 X4 @ 3,0Ghz OC'd from 2,6Ghz stock

- Club3D HD4870 X2

- Corsair Dominator DDR2-PC8500 2x2GB

- OCZ ModXStream Pro 700Watts (which is just fine)

Once I figured out the Catalyst AI, which I set to "Advanced", performance was really boosted up in Crysis (1920x1200 very high AAx8 AFx16 around 32~43fps)

But nice system dude, congrats on it. =]

no I don't want to buy an Intel system cause the 4870 X2 is the wordls best card and it is just better with an AMD system... the 4Ghz overclock is not needed but 4Gb and Vista 64-Bit is better than 32 and 3.2GB... and with a 26'' screen you don't need such a CPU overclock cause the graphics power is more important in this segment...
