This was a great series, short lived. Wasn't there a tv programme around the same time of a guy who solved srime using a supped up motorbike? What was it called?
So this is the original voice of Automan? I'm somehow disappointed. In italian he has a calm, almost icy latin lover accent that makes him more cool.
On the counterpart, Jenny from Bucky O'Hare And The Toad Wars has a warm sexy voice like the Cadbury bunny in your dubbing but in Italian she sounds no more than a mid/late teenager.
Looking back at a lot of these old shows, it was amazing how such bad acting and corny concepts ever made it to the TV. But then I remember that we have the Jersey Shore, and I realize things have not gotten any better.
"think of Automan as an 11" i love the TRON effects still - this is still the best Wooden acting ever- with all these fancy 80s remakes- AUTOMAN the movie would be boss
I used to like this show back in the day. I always loved it when that one line came up: "No, what Walter really created was a wonderfull force for good."
@BSGNUT ...Man...back then I was like 8, can't believe I watched this, and we complain nowdays about ppl watching JS and all those realities on MTV.... XD
I remember the bit where he goes down to the disco and does Travolta moves in front of a lot of cheering disco Stu types, then whips off his suit to reveal his Tron look. I mean, Christ.....
I think the show is brillant ! It's a pitty it stopped so quickly. It had potential to become a succesful show just as Knight Rider. I don't agree with you guys !
My favorite part was that, even back then, I could tell that the writers were clueless about the technology necessary to create a hologram, and that the whole premise just didn't work.
Wow. I watched all of the three episodes that aired, I think (I'm sure it was a few more than that). Horrible show with a horrible script, based on a blatant Tron ripoff, and I loved it.
I think the first time that I saw it, I realized that I could enjoy something and still understand that it was terrible at the same time.
@ralphyetmore My sentiments exactly - I thought it was goofy but watched it all the same. I wonder if they'll do a remake? They've remade Tron itself.
@Goodiesfanful It'd be great if they remade Automan like the campy 60's Batman series. Just have it constantly make fun of itself, and the fact that it's a Tron ripoff. That would be the only way that I could see that on again.
Oh! I miss this series soooo much!
I think it's the very first show i've ever committed to memory as a child so many years ago.
