  • They look like they r all 80

  • My school's choreographer has definitely watched this... haha.

  • high school? really?

  • WOAH,,,,

  • It's just SO close to the broadway production, it's well done, of course! I just so wish it were more original!

  • Very good... wish I could hear Millie during her little 'Jimmy' refrain, but the chourus has no level control.

  • Wow! this is really good!!! O.O

  • This is an amazing performance--better than certain community theatre versions--especially for a high school. (There were a few moments when I thought the lead was channeling Sutton Foster.)

  • This performance is wonderful. Truly great. Talent is superb for a HS.

On the other hand. Stop being so sure of it. Whoever runs this YouTube, has an AWFUL ego. Don't know if you were Millie, the director, or what. But WOW.

  • I'm not "Millie."

    I'm not the "director."

    I'm "what."

So WOW, where are my ego-issues showing? If it's in my comments - I just reply to people in the same tone as they write their Bozo comments. Any legitimate comment gets a truthful answer.

    It DOES bother me when commenters tack-on that little disclaimer, "for a high school," though. ;-}

None-the-less, the girl playing Millie [a sophomore] is now in the B'way cast of Bye Bye Birdie. She's also become dance captain! GREAT!!

  • Haha chill out.

There are many things about this performance that I did not like, but I didn't mention those, did I? Because overall it is wonderful. And you have an ego b/c it bothers you I said HS. it IS good for a HS.

Your comments show your ego. They are insane. Like when someone deleted a really nice one and you typed it out again haha. Excuse to show you got another good one. Or mad about the stars. Chill.

    I'm glad she's on bway. Like I said---great performance.

  • Funny - that comment that I retyped was from a student who wrote about her OWN performance.. so I was bustin' her by putting it back. Hmmm, not so insane when you know the whole story, is it?

Please continue to comment about this HS's show-clips. I love to read the good - bad - indifferent. It helps "us" tweak future productions, getting feedback from middle America, average Joes, & theatre experts.

If I didn't want to hear from the masses, I would disable the ability to make comments, right?

  • Haha but it's still a comment about YOUR video.

I've been watching your vids a while. I did STEEL PIER in 2007 and was over your comments then.

Whatever. I will not change my 2 opinions:

1-You have a silly horrible ego. Get your head in check.

2-This HS is amazingly talented. Keep up the good work.

  • Steel Pier was and is my favorite, overall. This coming spring, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will happen on that HS stage. I'll learn from the script. Then I'll be able to add "underhanded" to my "silly" and "horrible" name-tag! ;-]

    Thanks for the dialog!!

  • And to further my "High School" comment:

My high school would NEVER have been able to put on a performance this great. We'd have the tappers and we'd have the singers for the chorus....but not in the same people. And that's great.

But out of HS....yes....could probably find them. So that's why I said it's good for HS. It is good for HS.

  • Never say never! This HS didn't get this "great" overnight. Their current theatre-program has been building for over 15 years, with the assurance of 4 full audiences. That ticket money allows for the outrageous stuff that you see in these clips. Any school can do it.. but it takes some time and dedication, and gobs of craziness.

  • Well thanks but I'm not even in HS. My school was pretty good but not this good. And it's gone downhill since I left...

  • Choreography = 5 stars

    Vocals = 5 stars

I noticed you used some of the original Broadway choreography in the tap! AMAZING!

  • So this Millie is fabulous! Love this production!

  • Well, I see that the ratings are down to 4 stars. Who's got a bug up their ass?

  • OOPS - it's back up to 4 1/2 stars!!

  • you guys were all SO great in this number, especiallllly the dancing. i saw it, and i couldnt believe how in-sync you all were!

  • great vocals and acting! Love it!

  • Hey wanttobediva,

Why did you remove your comment, "That flannery is rather fierce....nice tap solo..and that millie is truly a talent!!" ?

  • I removed it because I realized that i didn't like the comment. I decided that i would rather add another comment. So i deleted it! So my new comment is THIS NUMBER IS SO WELL DONE. And I had the honor of working with this truly amazing cast. I also learned to tap in 9 month to do that tap solo ;)

  • She had a revelation

  • i'm the one with the obnoxious red wig that matched my tights right behind millie. haha. i swear it wasn't THAT red in person. I'm so proud of what us "boy" girls accomplished over 7 months and how we finally pulled it together to look like this! i'll never forget stirring the pot!

  • Comment removed

  • This is one of my favorite songs from 'Millie' and this ranks at the top of them all..A+++++

and, this gals voice and talent.....OMG.......hope there are more clips coming....

BTW......the desks are marvelous.....they look great and dance, amost...
