not sure actually, but they're pretty sad. I have a 1996 4cyl reg cab 2x4 just for a second vehicle. I can put about 600-800 lbs in the back before it really starts to sag
@MicroOrginisum What part of the world do you live in? One thing I will mention is that in the title of this video, it says Ranger 1/2 ton.....The ranger is a 1/4 ton here in Canada, and U.S. and is based on the Mazda b-series. The rated payload of a base model 4 cyl reg cab ranger is less than 1200 lbs.
Well I have no basis for comparison of course. I am on my second ranger now and I love them..honest fuel mileage, and a good little worker. However I will say that I am very disappointed with the model lineup. there are 3 engines available 2.3l, 3.0l, and 4.0l. 4x4 is not available in 4 cylender, nor can you get it in a regular cab anymore. which in my opinion completely defeats the purpose of a compact pickup truck...they have embarassing fuel economy.
haha..no, that's a nice truck, and it will suit lots of ppl as the fx4 level 2 does now. My point is just that I am disappointed that as North Americans, we're not given the option of.....lets say a 2.3l extended cab 4x4......Toyota marketed it here for years. Or maybe a 4 cyl turbo diesel option. Personally all I need a mini truck for is to haul my dirtbike, or a couple armfuls of firewood for a back yard fire, horsepower, payload and gvw isn't important.
@flenny In comparison, the American "trucks" should have a higher payload capacity, for their size and weight not to mention engine...good towing tho.
I know F series' in JA that can barely carry 2 tons nearly bottoming out you know, cummins aint too bad tho just slow
2.5l TDI?
