In comparison with this marvel, mine looks just horrendous to my view... Besides, I like this early version with middle-rooted wings much better, troublesome as it seems to have been. Fantastic kit indeed. It looks so realistic. Oddly enough, this video doesn´t appear in my video replies section, so because of that (and whatever the reason for it may be) I´m afraid that for the moment I cannot accept it...
@AlanMartinNala Hello there, this early George is a very old tooling that dated back to mid sevently I had a fun time to build it up as it is a very simple kit however the canopy does not fit with body very well, a tiny gap there. But the big problem is the decal was too old and unable to be used, it is a pity, coz I found it has a set of decal for a flying group located in occuplied Korea which is rare!
@MakingModelsAgain Hello Mr. Airfix :) I just take a look with your video of a ZERO fighter ( in light grey), do u usually set yourself a timing (or deadline) to build a kit? I feel exciting when I was looking at your watch, I remember that I watched a video at youtube which several men joint a scale model making course in a hobby shop in tokyo and the teacher gave them boxes of tanks, all students need to build it up in fined timing. Funny video.
@kyffaa Well, my watch was acting as more of a countdown than a timer as I was trying to make the kit in one night - which I failed at. However, under normal circumstances, I could time my builds using a calender instead of a a watch as I take so long to complete them! I'm almost finished the resurrection of this kit which has taken over a month as opposed to the 11 hours of the original build in the tent! :)
Super work with the kit! I've read that when fueled with U.S. gas, the Ki- 84 Frank ran rings around all its American counterparts, and I'd guess the George would've too. It's tragic that the U.S. and Japan went to war- I mean Hitler had it coming, but I feel like Japan just got pulled into that racial/imperial world system. I feel we best honor the memory of the fallen by building a brilliant future together, when cheap solar electricity and the new nanotech materials come online.
