I've not had the fortune to own a Light Phaser. Since I need a new TV, I'm not sure if it would be worth it since they don't work with the TV's of today.

Anyway, if it's anything like the NES Zapper in the way that it can be unscrewed and taken apart, I'd fill the gaps inside the case with something to balance the gun (but insulated so it doesn't effect the performance, or short the thing out).

Hey they DO work on rear projection TVs as long as it is regular resolution, wont work on 100Hz, dont know about front projection CRT, the 3DO gun doesnt, but then it wasnt near as good as this one anyway!!

you can spin a light gun, its just done a different way than is normally done (I have done this with an NES zapper, not a phaser)- but the cord keeps hitting me in the face, or getting tangled up on my arm. the technique is a bit awkward and hard to explain though. You kind of flick the light gun into to air and catch it.
