Top football states are California, Texas, and Flordia...hands down. Top receivers come from the Dirty South tho...there's no question about that one. But QBs and RBs...some of the best have come from CA.

Texas owns in football and track and field. Just face it! Look at the concentration of athletes that texas high schools put in the NFL and track athletes at the olympics. Yea brah. Poly and De la salle is just 2 teams I mention. Between Div 1 and Div 14,their are alot of schools that can play.Poly and De la salle have enough trouble dealing with their own backyard. I went to Rainier Beach HS.We alaways had talent but our coaching staff isn't very good and our team has no discipline.We win off of pure athletic ability but when comes to discipline schools like O'dea and in the playoffs,we have trouble.You go to Bellvue?

They'll be just like Jordan HS in long beach, a team you can't sleep on.

Not really. Bellvue just got lucky that they played DLS first, that's the only reason anybody knows who they are. That was the worst DLS team in 20 years, they were 1-3-1 in their first 5 games. I got the dvd perfect effort and they showed the 96-97 game with dls vs mater dei and that mater dei team that year could have definitely beat dls. I think dls only won by 1 td that game.
When Leinart was Mater Dei's QB as a senior he threw for 399 and MD lost by 3 with a short blooper field goal to tie being missed in the last few seconds('00 i believe). Both games in Anaheim were close...in the north they were blow outs. 42-0 in 1999 (DLS's best team imo)

I remember his senior year of High school they came here to Hawaii....Hawaii's best vs California's best...they beat out St.Louis 31-21 it was an experience watching him at that level, "Super Man" lol......Long Beach poly beat Kahuku also.

washington only goes up to 4a also and those three teams u named are only the 3a teams that can keep up with cali teams (minus the fact skyline moved up to 4a this year) but i have respect for poly and de lasalle for being constantly a national powerhouse. i agree that these two teams are more talented than bellevue, but i think that bellevue has more discipline and a better head coach. Do you think California high school will give bellevue a run for there money?

Yea brah. Poly and De la salle is just 2 teams I mention. Between Div 1 and Div 14,their are alot of schools that can play.Poly and De la salle have enough trouble dealing with their own backyard. I went to Rainier Beach HS.We alaways had talent but our coaching staff isn't very good and our team has no discipline.We win off of pure athletic ability but when comes to discipline schools like O'dea and in the playoffs,we have trouble.You go to Bellvue?

California has elite competition.Bellevue is the only team from Washington that can play in the state of california.Washington don't have good football competition.If you have discipline and heart, no matter what state you are in, you can overachieve and be dominant.

thats not true, there are several teams that can keep up with bellevue... very few can beat them, but some can keep up. a lot of teams have moved up to 4a but there still in washington im sure we could find at least a handful of teams that can keep among the top in california.... but would you say that california high school is as good as de la salle or poly?

Same for Poly and De La Salle.Their always going to be teams that can keep up with them but the top team wins on a consistant basis.Besides Bellvue, I can say O'dea and Skyline can give cali schools a challenge. We only go up to 4a.Cali starts from Division 1 to 14 and more.Besides the Poly and De la salle, they got Corona Centenial,Mater Dei,Orange county Christian,Mission Viejo,Loyola,Edison,and a whole lot more. What seperates them from us,is the amount of talent.

Bellevue is a good disciplne football team.Compare Bellvue's talent to De la Salle and Poly, that's a different story. The thing is Bellvue beat Poly and De la Salle once fair in square.Take Poly's schedule on a yearly basis and plug in Bellvue, Bellvue won't be a powerhouse in Cali because of the competition they play. They'll be just like Jordan HS in long beach, a team you can't sleep on.

good point, but i mean they were still power house teams, de lasalle was number one in the nation at the time and poly was number 3 in the nation, and none of them were real games. The only time bellevue wasnt up in both those games is a 7-0 lead by de lasalle but bellevue scored a touchdown on there first play from scrimmage.

Yeah, and De La Salle only won one of their first 5 games that year. Poly ended up 9-3 and out of the top 10 in SoCal.

De La Salle has the second most players in the NFL.First is Poly. Not really. Bellvue just got lucky that they played DLS first, that's the only reason anybody knows who they are. That was the worst DLS team in 20 years, they were 1-3-1 in their first 5 games. The year Bellvue beat Poly, Long Beach lost three games, and wasn't even one of the top teams in southern California.

Tallahassee Lincoln, Miami Northwestern, Madison County, Pahokee, Orlando Boone, When De La Sallle wants to play against real competition tell them to take a trip over to Florida. There are 5 teams from FL ranked in the U.S.A Today polls. Miami Northwestern is number 1. I bet there are some Miami NW Highlights on you tube.

De La Salle don't have any competition in the North. Play in the SOUTH and I gurantee you won't go undefeated every year. I respect your wins over poly and Mater Dei but play them and teams like that on a regular basis in the SOUTH, you won't go undefeated.

I got the dvd perfect effort and they showed the 96-97 game with dls vs mater dei and that mater dei team that year could have definitely beat dls. I think dls only won by 1 td that game.

When Leinart was Mater Dei's QB as a senior he threw for 399 and MD lost by 3 with a short blooper field goal to tie being missed in the last few seconds('00 i believe). Both games in Anaheim were close...in the north they were blow outs. 42-0 in 1999 (DLS's best team imo)
