  • What turned Lady Rochford into such a horrible lady?! She was so innocent and lovely with Jane Seymour...? Did something happen in between?!

  • @HP5crazy She's seen other women get married, other women end up pampered, other women deferred to and she has had to put up with losing those who ever showed her the slightest kindness.

  • who knew you could dye your hair in 1540! <<<(Sarcasm) First she was blonde, then she was brunette? They could have been a little more accurate?

  • I always feel so sorry for Lady Rochford. She just needed a friend.

  • hate that when catherine is in bed, she is wearing queen jane's nightie. it doesn't even fit her right, although not alot of tamzin merchant's gowns in the show seemed to fit her right :/

  • Heh, how did one dye their hair back then?

  • @Rayvana exactly what I was thinking!!

  • she is so kind and sweet! BUT i like anne boylent more! i just do she's more independent and fierce and wasnt scared to voice her opinion which was really rare back then especially for a woman

  • Even after what Jane did to George and Anne, I kinda started to like her during season 3. And then she suddenly became a slutty stupid hag! I know that her affair with Culpepper has no historical basis. But I really hate her. Why can't she try to find a nicer man or control her lust or something?! To put people's lives in danger, taking a risk that a king of England could be a son of Culpepper and spreading her legs to a man who doesn't care about her... just disgusting!

  • I am confused why Jane Parker had a complete change of personality in season 4. And why is her hair darker?

  • @celticstuffrox :D I wish I could answer that. When I saw the trailer of season 4 and her hair, I was like "what the he... ck"?!

  • I've noticed that she seems to feel as if she is babysitting a bunch of silly teenage girls.

  • @ProfessorSSJ you couldn't have say it any better!

  • Ok, if Jane Seymour was really this nice, she was definitely my favourite Queen! :)

  • @AWickedMind- Oh, well thanks for telling me! I really appreciate it :) I suppose you're right, Henry must have adored her for giving him a son and after she died he must have put her up on a pedestal a bit. I'll have to get some books on the Tudors and read up on them properly, I'd love to find out what they were all really like! :) xo

  • Try "The Six Wives of Henry VIII" by Alison Wier- by far the best one ever written. A thorough account of Henry, his wives, and other major players such as Wolsey, Cromwell and the Seymour bros.

  • @ProfessorSSJ Thanks! I'll be sure to check that one out :) I just got a book from the library on Mary, so I can't wait to start reading it! Thanks again for the recommendation :)

  • We must remember though, that Jane had no say in when she and Henry were to be married, nor did she think Anne would be killed. Anne was the first Queen to be beheaded

  • @AWickedMind - If my family forced me to get married to a despot with a perchant for murdering his wives...I'd be submissive too.

All of this villifaction of one wife over another only serves to take the blame off of the person who is truly culpable, *Henry*.... It was Henry who decided to divorce Katherine. It was Henry who signed Anne's death warrant and Katherine Howards.

Frankly, I think Henry was selfish, egotistical, and cruel man. He didn't deserve ANY of his wives.

  • @Stargazer19- I agree with your opinion of Henry but at the end of the day it takes 2 to tango, no matter how much of a man's world it was back then. All of his surplus wives after K of A (save for Anne C) CHOSE to flirt with, tease, make promises to, wed, and bed a man they knew would toss the last girl out like garbage to swap them in. Henry ordered the axes to be swung but each new woman he took a fancy to knew what would happen to the previous and even helped egg it on.

  • @AWickedMind Oh yeah, I'm not saying that Jane was completely innocent or anything. I'm sure she knew what she was about, just like Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard did.

I just think that it's important to remember that Henry was the one who was ultimately responsible. Nobody *forced* Henry to do anything.... and at the end of the day, it was Henry (and only Henry) who made the final decision.

  • @Stargazer19 You hit the nail on the head!!! Henry was the main villian, not any of his wives.

  • @JuzTudor70AD

she was the avrage age of a maid in waiting was thirteen

  • Jane Parker is scary lol

  • how do you have copy of these scenes if the season hasnt premiered yet??

  • Wow a good start indeed to the new season, why is Lady Roachford helping the new Queen, I think she is doing this because she really did Love Queen Jane, more than anyone eles so I guess she is wanting to get this queen out of the way, because well this queen is way to young and needs to get out of hear LOL, but I am happy that she will make henry look like a fool HHEHEHEHE>

  • Lady Rochford lost her head for her part in all of this....I wonder if they will put that in the show.
