i think i know what happened. mr. mitchell was the old guy she was cheating with, that's why the house maid said 'you look good for your age' cuz the old guy was the man who rented the room. the killer wasn't mr mitchell, but he was probs the woman's husband, and he effectively framed the guy she was cheating with.

@dcopley51 but the maid thinks the murderer is mr. mitchell when it sounds like mr. mitchell was really the old dude having an affair with his wife (go back to the last two minutes when the wife says she has to get home to "bren" and the killer says "good luck mr. mitchell")

why is the maid so nosy? i mean, it's great that she's trying to help. it's the right thing to do. but she sounds comfortable talking to him. i expected her to just sit there and distract him long enough for something else to happen.

Wow! I really liked this. Bob, congratulations on directing such a cleverly-written screenplay. The actor does resemble Mr. Affleck quite a lot, but that doesn't take away from his memorable performance. All-in-all, I thought it was great!!!

But he hangs her in the noose off screen. Conceivably, the noose is too low originally because he is interrupted while hanging it but then he adjust after he's killed her.

This is good! I like how it makes you question whether he was there to hurt himself or whether he had that end in mind all along. Nicely written. I love these writing shorts that VFS students do. They haven't been updating their channel with any new short film material though :(

And yes, he does look a lot like Ben Affleck!
