There is absolutely no way that a Jaguar Broadspeed, however well driven, could overtake any type of formula 1. Look at the backspin... however, this is the land of The Avengers and I tip my hat at anything the marvellous John Steed does!
@britstarfan and you've got to admire the use of the indicator at the end .At one point I'm sure he was looking up to see what the speed limit was. And nice use of the rear view mirror throughout.
yer an the nearest i ever got to one of these was a 2dr mk2 escort which i fitted a 1600 crossflow an full set of forest archers then dun the same to a 105e anglia rally car with mk1 escort bubbles all round happy days
@78gazza there are still a few around ( mostly restoration projects). One quirk they had was because they were so powerfull ( and all the weight was at the front) the back end would spin out a lot , and you could lose it if you were not careful ...( you can see that almost happen in the video)
Strange... mine never did. Its a sure sign of shot radius arm bushes if they do that... the basic design of IRS setup on the Jaguars is still being used on Aston Martins today.

Steed looks in the rear view mirror ( and wears his seatbelt) even though there's only 1 other car on the track ( and that's in front of him)...lol

I love the Broadspeed Jag, that's my dream car.I will have to make sure it'll be the fastest, loudest & best handling XJC on the tarmac.

@Elefant95 it was a great car ( the best one of the series imo). what a shame they went to the "ordinary" Jags, later on...........
