No, it says, in the beginning of the novel that D'anconia was able to speak without an accent because he grasped the language so well. I believe he did it to amuse himself. It never said that he spoke without an accent all the time.
Interesting, it was commented that the only thing that was for sure was Jolie was playing Dagney...Now, that's out. I wonder if this will ever get done, and if so if it'll be anything like the book. I say let this young group of actors do it!
Great work, I love this. It is much better than I can imagine the Angelina Jolie Version could ever be. FINISH IT... SHARE IT. WONDERFUL... Thank you!
That was great guys. Made me laugh. You were all great. I love the marbles part with Francisco and the girl was very Dagny-esque. I'm sure you know but there is a Atlas Shrugged movie coming out. Only thing for sure is that Angelina Jolie is playing Dagny and Randall Wallace wrote the screenplay.
Thank you very muchly. You're a gentlemen and a scholar. As of right now, there won't be a full-feature. That's a future career goal. I would like to put all Rand's novels on the big screen, but only if they can be pulled off right. Oh, by the way- 18 years is a little old to be called "kids" don't you think?
@atomicnuila-18 is a little old to be grabassing around Mommy and Daddy's shed with school film projects, eh kiddo? Can't wait till the full film comes out, what's your RELEASE DATE?
I remembered that when I was filming it, but the guy playing D'Anconia it is Lithuanian. He can't help but speak in an accent. I was going to have someone else do it, but he looked D'Anconia-esque to me.
On a Yahoo Objectivist club message board, about 7 or 8 years ago (under my same name)...I wrote a mock preview in screenplay format of Atlas Shrugged that was remarkably similar to this video!!! I really hope to see the real thing one day and I can't help but think that Francisco's "Atlas speech" to Rearden in that scene at the mill will be the voice-over to a montage of scenes from the movie. A very entertaining video guys, thanks for posting this :)

@Highlander9992003 I believe I read that they will begin filming it this year. How they can manage that when they do not have a Dagny is beyond me.

I pictured it differently. But you did a good job creating the "action".

Hehe, Rand says in the novel that D'Anconia doesn't have an accent, BTW.
