And @ pandaexpress44 i use a sparkler as a fuze. They are slow burning so you can get away fast enough

what did u use? i have whole cupboard full of fireworks from 2 years ago, i tried to make explosion over 4 time but i only saw big flames and smoke :S

If you try to use a container which is strong and compact, I think you will get a much better result. I also got some disasters:P Fill the container all the way with gunpowder, and you should get a much better result:)

it takes compaction take all powder out of fireworks dump it in tin foil shape into ball then wrap tight in duct tape it makes a huge boom

probably used the fuse out of the fireworks, or you can scrape the phosphorus off match heads then grind it down to a powder, then wet a peice of white thin strings then dip it into the red match head powder untill it is covered then dry the string. will be just a good as bought powder and its more flexible.

Yes I know:P I have made some that blew even louder. It`s all about what you put the gunpowder in. This was a glas bottle, but I have also used some casing out of brass. Those wore loud!
