They were SPLENDID... I first heard them in Bach's "Variations on the G string" back in the '60's. and I've been hooked since. One of the girls came to give an "a solo" concert of her own in my town's theatre: WHAT A VOICE!!! The audience was spellbound. Is the group still (2011) in existence?

Then came the choreography, and I thought "of course, they can't resist being stupid and doing bad and unnecessary choreographies, but whatever, maybe the music will be worth putting up with it". But when the "gags" started, I realised this is just a cheesy and shallow circus act. Well, if they have to ruin music, so be it.
