Sorry, not liking his style is a matter of taste. But saying his solo's lack musical ideas can be proven VERY wrong if you would just take the time to listen to the many solo's Jens has played. Listen to 'the cage' intro of Sonata Arctica or the solo he plays on 'Aina, days of rising doom' or the things with Stratovarius or maybe Yngwie. If you still feel the same way about, then I think you have a twisted musical sense... Now I am sorry for you...
