Here in Brazil, Sabian/Zildjian/Paiste are about 400 euros the professional Line, it's TOO expensive, so, either we buy Brazilian cymbals (Octagon/Orion/Krest) wich are MUCH cheaper, or we buy asian cymbals, like stagg, they're cheap too.

My Uncle gave me his drums with sabian cymbals, and I want to buy an octagon China, but he insists that I need to buy sabian cuz otherwise the series will be different, Octagon is soo cheap here in brazil compared to sabian, What should I do?

Play what makes you happy! Eric first started playing Octagon, many of his friends and people he met would make fun of the cymbals because they we're not used to the name brand and only because of that reason.After the first GS Vol.1 people started to take notice of the different sound the cymbals produce and the fast trashy decay of the effect cymbals like the 11" mini china's, 11" splash and others.P.S. if you want my personal advice (Zildjian is the best in the world!)

Then you need to see Virgil Donati in action. No doubt the "Great Dennis Chambers is blisteringly fast...Single Strokes? around the kit? Incredible! Yet on physicality along...Virgil's has got to be the most proficient, precise, drummers living. Virgils has the fastest torso I've seen. Dennis has ridiculously fast hands and arms; Virgil's mobility on drums at best can be classified as--Alien levels. I saw Virgil live at a clinic, only thing i can say is he has to be seen to be believed. Unreal!
