  • What was the date of this recor

ding Fancy it may be free trade hall Manchester Have a 78 that sounds close

  • Anyone looking to improve their skills as a Trumpet player Should try the Arban's Book Its a conservatory method that was meant for the trumpet, unlike the standard of excellence books which were composed to teach an entire band. I'm not saying this is a bad thing. Just that its not meant for Individuals although it can ceartinly be used that way.

  • Thank you this helps alot

  • @ssjlego I have several standred of excllence books 1-3 each

  • why the hell are gay people talking about their gayness here? i dont wanna fucking hear about ur faggotry, i came here for music goddamnit.

  • For those looking for the sheet music of this composition, the composer's name is Jeremiah Clarke (not Clark). The original composition is known as "The Prince of Denmark's March," but it is more commonly known now as "Trumpet Voluntary."

  • @Siliven Thank you for replying to my comment which wrote 4 months ago -.-

And I just started clarinet THATS why i said it was hard, but now its easy. Think before you type, jerk.

  • When I was a young lad, mummy used to make me sing..."

  • well maybe im more modern but i am having it also in 8 days when i marry my longterm partner michael so its not just for happy brides! Scott

  • @scottcrac Congrats Love knows no bounds. I wish you all the best! From a member of the "family".

  • I am told this piece of music was originally written by Henry Purcell. Would I be wrong?

  • @mordustine No,It-was-originally-written-by-Clark,but-attributed-to-Henry-Purcell.

  • This was the processional for my wedding as well (over 18 years ago!) but it was called "The March of the Prince of Denmark". If you like THIS version, you'll be blown away by "The March of the Prince of Denmark." Search on " The Prince of Denmark's March" - the one with the baroque portrait is a good one, and the Wynton Marsalis version is great as well. Both far superior to this one ^.

  • DUMP AND DUMPER HOTEL SCENE

  • i played this solo in 6th grade.

  • it's spelled Clarke

  • Un anno fa entravo nella sala Matrimoni accompagnata da queste note........è stata una cerimonia bellissima.......peccato che tutto sia passato troppo in fretta.....

    ahhhhh....comunque siamo molto felici!!!!

  • what is this song called, as i want it for my wedding?

  • @andyrevell

The title of the video is the title of the song. It is, in fact, entitled TRUMPET VOLUNTARY and was composed by Jeremiah Clarke.

  • @andyrevell trumpet voulantary

  • To end debate about who wrote this piece. It was written by Jeremiah Clark in the year 1700. Many people thought for years that it was written by Henry Purcell but Clarke is the composer.

  • oh god i love this so moving

  • wonderfull.

  • is it Clark of Purcell ?

  • @jvdh49 Maybe you should read the title and or description.

  • Wasn't this initially attributed to Purcell?

  • love this song wish i could get the sheet music for it anyone know were?

  • me and my friend r gonna do a duet wit this

  • @bomberbandalumuni

look up 'prince of denmark's march' on google images.

  • @bomberbandalumuni

trumpet voluntary can be found in the red standard of excellence book

  • @bomberbandalumuni The Canadian Brass Quintet plays a brass quintet rendition of it.

You can Find this, and many other great songs in the "I Bb Trumpet Brass Quintet Favorite Quintets Intermediate Book" this Book is sold at most music sites/stores that support band instruments. It is also available on their website

  • 27 years ago, my Sweetie and I had this as our wedding processional, and the wedding march as the recessional :-)

  • that or was it the other way around because i thought a piece like this would be last like after the wedding's over

  • it's clarke

  • This song play I on the piano x.D

  • this is so beautiful..it reminds me of Princess Diana's Wedding in 1981 where it was played!

  • it's kind of a royal thig, isn't it? :)

  • Well if you want to get technical, yes it is very 'royal' sounding for a reason, namely it's actually named "The Prince of Denmark's March" and well, if the Prince of Denmark isn't royalty who is? :P

  • me, baby, me

  • I LOVE THIS!!!! i play alto clarinet but ma bffffffffl's play trumpet

  • BEST VIDEO ON YOUTUBE!!!!<333

i listen to it everymorning when im getting ready for school!

  • @koolbeanliz gay?

  • @koolbeanliz It is for sure not the best video on youtube..

  • @MarshMonstar neither are you. so btfo .

  • @koolbeanliz

Lol, that's a really good idea!

  • Too slow? This is supposed to be a march. This is the tempo it was written at and is supposed to be played. The performer has excellent pitch given how finicky piccolo trumpets are. All in all, an excellent version.

  • Us too :o

  • we played this in our school band

oddly enough though, saxophones have the melody most of the time

  • Lol, stupid arranger...

  • actually that was good because our trumpets are pussys and cannot play at the right time, tempo, or dynamic

so when they do have the melody, everyone gets bored and when us saxes play, WE GET SUPERIORS!

  • I hate the trumpet people too especally Syed

  • saxophones? ;)) that's funny. I find it's a rather lustful instrument

  • i played this with my orchestra for a solo XD :)

  • my high school band played this piece at the winter and spring concert this year my friend was the soloist the winter concert and another kid the soloist this past concert i play trumpet i like this song

    AI dupont high

  • Nope,I live in a very small town in kansas

  • We play this song in our wind quintet

  • My 6th grade band is going to play this at our spirng concert and our band teacher wanted us to look it up and listen. it is a lovely piece and i am glad i get to play it ( even thow i only play the bass drum on it) ^ ^

  • Hey!We are going to play this at our concert on may 19th! 5th and 6th!

I am in 5th and play trumpet

  • lol our high school has a concert the 19th.....edison high, in elmira heights.........id laugh if you where from cohen elementary lol

  • I think it's the "Feuerwerksmusik" written bei G.F.Händel

  • Nope. The Royal Fireworks Music is completely separate.

  • Inst this piece known as Prins Jørgens March (Prince (George) of Denmarks March)?

  • Yes.

  • i love playin this, the cornet section usually play and then collapse.

  • is this played on a piccolo trumpet, or is it just high on a Bb?

  • A piccolo = a high Bb.

It is usually played on a D or a A Piccolo. This recording sounds like a D trumpet.

  • Our band played this last christmas. We (the saxophones (alto especially :))) had even more melody than the trumpets... That was kinda weird. But I liked it, and when I go to conservatory, I want to play the trumpet as well... (sorry for faults... I'm not Dutch, you see)

  • Remember playing this in grade seven. It wasn't too hard.

  • I don't get the name of this song...

...whut the heck is VOLUNTARY about this song?!?

That the horn player WANTED to play it?

Nobody put a loaded pistol to his fat head?

    Whut? Whut? WHUT!?!?

  • Actually the name of the song is Prince of Denmark's march it's also called trumpet voluntary, because in this song is for trumpet

  • Still doesn't answer my question: What makes use of the word "voluntary? in the song's name?

  • Trumpet Voluntary is the name of the piece of music. The 'voluntary' means nothing in volunteering to play. There is more than one trumpet voluntary, I have played a few of them. They were written for organ back in the Baroque era (c1600-c1750) Basically as piece that can quite easily be transcribed for trumpet as well. Or the utilisation of the Trumpet Stop on the organ.

Also people like to play this kind of music (I love it), so what we all have different tastes in music.

  • tis writen in old english who the hell knows...

  • Yeah... I guess the word "voluntary" has a different meaning than the one I'm used to using...

  • It's a beautiful piece of music though don't you think?

  • Yes, it is lovely, so much so that it replays in the mind's ear effortlessly.

  • Voluntary as in solo performance piece for organ - typically used when t'bride's coming up aisle, or to play a congregation out after a church service.

  • Strangely. I listen to this music when I go to sleep!

  • gad...love this piece...this and wedding cake make me want to get married...

  • I used this song for my weeding.

    I love it!!

  • Strange ... I generally prefer something with a heavy percussion section for garden work.

  • lol, i agree , ahhaaha

  • Good work, my friend.

  • u like gardening then mate??? lol

  • If it was good enough for Diana Spencer when she married Prince Charles, I guess it's good enough for me ...

    :)

  • I've played that in my band at school a few years ago when I still played trumpet but now I play the oh so great TUBA!

  • Hehe. i play the trumpet. tried tube once. wow does it need air. its really cool though. :)

  • Amazing, I like this kind of music, so grand and majestic!

  • My brother is going to be playing this for my wedding next year. I think it is a lovely tune

  • thank you for posting this...i want this to be my wedding march...i like this better than the traditional one

  • You can picture a bride, head up, shoulders back and full of confidence in the choice she's made. I was that bride once and thirty six years later I wouldn't change a thing. Gifted by God with seven irreplaceable children and a husband and father who has stayed the course. How can you not be grateful to God for the song that started it all.

  • maryutrup.....very inspirational words for a world that has lost the sense of true love and the real idea of marriage! Thank you!

  • First of all, I want to apologize for not responding to your very supportive e! I have no idea how I could have ignored it!!In any case, I truly did appreciate getting it. It's nice to know that some one else values the memories and commitment attached to marriage vows. We need a country full of that kind of commitment. I'm sure you agree! Thanks again for taking the time to respond to my post. Sincerely, Mary Utrup

  • @maryutrup i always think in Princess Diana on her wedding she was like a fairytale princess but the poor girl never got her happy ever after

  • @maryutrup

Cos a lot of people don't believe in God.
