I am having my honeymoon in CUBA, the misses wanted to go to Florida FUCK THAT, my money is going to a peace loving island that stands up to Bully Boy States..and wins!! I am gonna be so proud to have a Cuban stamp in my British Passport.
People have to be accept that as a species we can't move on unless we abandon the way we rule ourselves now (talkin about the governents) and evolve to a greater single "country" THE EARTH. The and only then the true and pure nature and ingenuity of the human race will accomplish miracles in every aspect known and unknown to us now and in future. But that won't hapen soon beacose we have to change the way we think and that is called a evolution.
I STRONGLY recommend reading Fontava’s book which shows what a sickening monster Che was, signing the death warrants on 1892 men, women, pregnant women, and boys. When Che killed his first man, he wrote a letter home to dad saying how much he loved killing people. What a sick and evil bastard.
•"Crazy with fury I will stain my rifle red while slaughtering any enemy that falls in my hands! My nostrils dilate while savoring the acrid odor of gunpowder and blood. With the deaths of my enemies I prepare my being for the sacred fight and join the triumphant proletariat with a bestial howl!" Che
The cult of Ernesto Che Guevara is an episode in the moral callousness of our time. Che was a totalitarian. He achieved nothing but disaster. Many of the early leaders of the Cuban Revolution favored a democratic or democratic-socialist direction for the new Cuba. But Che was a mainstay of the hardline pro-Soviet faction, and his faction won.
Che presided over the Cuban Revolution's first firing squads. He founded Cuba's "labor camp" system—the system that was eventually employed to incarcerate gays, dissidents, and AIDS victims. To get himself killed, and to get a lot of other people killed, was central to Che's imagination.
In the famous essay in which he issued his ringing call for "two, three, many Vietnams," he also spoke about martyrdom and managed to compose a number of chilling phrases: "Hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine. This is what our soldiers must become "— and so on.
He was killed in Bolivia in 1967, leading a guerrilla movement that had failed to enlist a single Bolivian peasant. And yet he succeeded in inspiring tens of thousands of middle class Latin-Americans to exit the universities and organize guerrilla insurgencies of their own. And these insurgencies likewise accomplished nothing, except to bring about the death of hundreds of thousands, and to set back the cause of Latin-American democracy—a tragedy on the hugest scale.
Che was a murderer. Plain and simple. Freedom isn't what he wanted. Power is what he was after. Power is what he obtained. Communism is a horrible system to live under. PERIOD> Intentions are utopia. Result is guns and walls!
What power? Che dies alone and poor. He left Cuba government b/c he never saw himself as a politician. Power was what Fidel was after. Che went to the Congo and Bolivia to lead revolutions. Both failed due to the corruption and power-hungry rebels not caring about the things that made the Cuban revolution successful.
@SALonghorn Batista was no picnic, but you call the Cuban revolution a success? Are you completely insane? Che was first and foremost a murderer, end of story. And I bet now the Cuban people would have rather have been under a dictator like Batista than a dictator like Castro. They have nothing there. They are still driving cars from the 1950's there country is in horrble poverty. At least when Batista was in there they would've had trade with the United States and the people would've profitted
Yes, the Cuban revolution was a success since it ousted an American-supported government. You need to understand that the USA is not beloved in Latin America (see Guatamala and Cuba for Che's involvement).
Part of the reason the Cuban peopl do not have anything is the trade boycott with the USA. It punishes the people of Cuba, not just the govenment. Batisita allowed 85% of the land to be owned by American corporations. 50% of the GDP was the payouts to Batista.
Finally, literacy and technology were nothing under Batista. "The people would've profitted"? How? The US controlled everything under Batista. The ambassador to Cuba under Batista said under oath that he beleive he was the most powerful person in Cuba b/c of all the business interest ties, including the mafia operating the brothels and casinos in Cuba.
Would the Cubans prefer to be controlled by the US or by their own?
@SALonghorn People like you are impossible. You have zero sense. Of course they would be better of with US involvement. The standard of living there would be higher. Cubans do love America. Hundreds of thousands defected here. I should know I play and work with them. They wished Cuba would oust communism so they can return. US boycotted Castro and rightfully so. So you're bogus claim they are better off? You're on crack. But as I said you are a far left whack job. NO talking to someone like you>
Have I complimented Che? Or Fidel? I've simply argued a different point of view that what you have, but you seem to attack me for that. JFK agreed with Fidel's movement BEFORE knowing that Fidel would become a socialist/communist. Once he did that and took over US companies in Cuba, the US boycotted Cuba. Che even sent JFK a note trying to make a new deal, with the promise of never invading Cuba. Not crediting the Cuban revolution a success in Latin America is native
@SALonghorn Success because he won? Success was the American revolution that gave the American citizens freedom from Tyranny and the Repulic and freedom that was granted. America has been under attack by the radical left for years now. The Democratic party has be hijacked by the radicals that agree with people like Che. The radicals have rendered the Democratic party irrelevant. This is the closest America has ever came to ruining itself. However, there are men like me who will fight
OK, we had a good conversation going but your last comments about the "Democractic party...agree with people like Che" are ridiculous. When the Democratic party starts executing Republicans, then talk to me. Too bad this conversation dies with such nonsense.
@SALonghorn You're missing my point. The Democratic party isn't exactly shying away from the radicals that are printing Che's face on T-shirts are they? Why hasn't the left condemed Penn's comments or Rosie O'Donnels? They allow that to happen without so much as uttering a word. Now imagine some fringe Republican pundit saying some out landish thing? Our side would condemn it instanly. Go ahead tell me I'm not right.
Has the Republican party condemened people like Rush, Hannity or Robertson when they basically say peace = killing people you don't like?
None are "official" spokesperson for their party. It's pointless to condemn them.
I don't own a Che shirt (don't know where I could buy one), but i would wear one for 1 reason: irony. A community/marxist being exploited by capitalism. Che wouldn't be happy, but he wouldn't be surprised.
@SALonghorn You can hardly put Hannity, Rush or Robertson in the catagory of Penn or O'Donnels. Those 2 hate our country. T-Shirts that are printed provide money for the ones printing them. The owners of the business their stockholders. However, they should have his face on there with a target painted on his forehead. That would be an appropriate shirt.
No, they don't hate our country, but they do hate some things about what our country does. Rush, Hannity, and Robertson will never admit to ANYTHING this country has ever done that was wrong. What happened in Cuba and Guatemala during Che's time was wrong. The CIA assassinations all over the world was wrong. Our country should take care of our country, and stop being the moral police for the rest of the world. Its why we have the enemies we have now - money over people
@SALonghorn 75% of the charity in the world comes from the united states. The 3rd world countries hate us because we GIVE their people food. The want de-population. The conspiracy of us assinating latin american countries leaders is a myth with no merit. If we didn't get involved we'd be paying 10 a gallon for gas. If the left would let us drill here maybe we wouldn't have to give a shit about the middle east.
Now the conversation is starting to become a right vs left, and that's boring.
Drill here? No thanx, I'd rather have Chavez or the Saudi Prince cleaning their waters for the next 50 years. And you want to deny that the CIA hasn't tried to kill Fidel 600+ times? Felix Rod admitted to several himself. The Guatemala coup was shameful when Che was there.
Thankfully that US-owned governments policy is long dead today.
@SALonghorn Yes drill here. If no? then shut your fucking mouth about the middle east. Oil drives commerce. the price of gasoline could end our economy. Fidel? Yeah remember the Cuban missle crisis? Could've been a Nuclear war 90 miles from our coastline killing millions of Americans. Russia put them there but the sweet and loving Castro allowed it. Yes, Castro needed killing back then. Now? He keeps his stupid mouth shut. So he can have his piss Utopia in the carribean
@SALonghorn I get frustrated completely with those who have no common sense. The left have been having their way with the media and they are always the ones doing the talking. No more. I've had enough. So I throw the truth out there. The left cannot handle it. I used to be on the left awhile back. For that I am truely sorry to our country and the rest of the world. I've awakened and now I'm pissed for being sold a bill of goods from them. Thats all there is to it
"Those who let the murderers of blacks remain free, and punish the black population because they demand their legitimate rights as free men — how can those who do this consider themselves guardians of freedom? The Marxists in Latin America had ot had thier conciuosness raised beyond Marxism unfortunately.
Had they, they would have understood that liberation comes in the elimination of he state as much as possible not the expansion of it.
But that was then. Marxism is now a reactionary mentality.
