There is not much point if your buying this unit or another GPS unit for use with MSN Direct. The MSN Direct service is ending in 2012.

785t is better because it has more functions and much faster refresh rate in map scrolling.

This will also be my first GPS unit. I trust them about as far as I can throw them. They are great and make life easy but they still have bugs. I always test them in area's that I know so if they get me lost I can find my way back. I also keep a map or two in the car just in case. Always nice to have a back up.

lol, wonder who programs all of the roads, buildings, voice activation, voice directions, etc. wonder how long it took. im going to google and find out, im interested.

3D imagery only works in a very Few MAJOR cities. Lane Assist only works in LIMITED Major Cities in the United States. Garmin does NOT tell you these important points. Traffic info doesn't work well on the East Coast. Directs you to side roads with tons of red lights, much slower driving, tons of toll roads. Overall a great product, but Garmin MISLEADS their highlighted features.
