Fabulous saw, looks like the chain is good and sharp, too. much better than a lot of folks running old chainsaws with chains that must've been sharpened when they were put away 25 years ago.
Great sound, love the kinda rich sound, that's how we always ran our old saws.
@5275671 It's not really a downhill it was just up on some branches on 1 side. I was not going all the way threw the tree though cause I wanted to keep it there to use later. It was my test cut tree for the big saws in my collection for a long time.
@DickWheels yeah, it just looks like your on a hill, but like u say, just looks that way, i kinda collect chainsaws 2, i have something like 25 or 30 all kinds, but there all in great shape, Husky~Stihl~David Bradley~Homelite~Mc, i actually do use my Husky and Stihl, on part time tree ser, side jobs!!!
@5275671 I had a good collection up until recently. I sold most of them cause i just was not using them. I do plan on replacing them in the future though when I can use them more.
Nice saw, i just fond a XL~925 at the flea market in amazing shape for $20.00 i asked the seller , how much for the chainsaw, and he said $40, bucks so i said, does it run? and he gos, i think so, then he trys 2 start it, and just about pulls his fingers off, then yells `give me 20 bucks!!! so i said, SURE!!! took it home, change the gas, put my cloves on, ha! primed the carb, and she runs like a mother f
eucalyptus, tamatak, oak, white fur, sycamore, almond, cherry, pine and cedar all usually sold from 200-300 bucks a cord other wood like walnut, pistachio, malberry, ash, spruce, certain pine and other woods not very good around 110-175 a cord and willow, cotton wood and those arent worth anything!
@PerformanceCans It's not gonna be a super fast saw but good and reliable. Also a well built saw and should serve for many years. 28" is probably as big as I would go on that saw. Should run that well
i have muff modded Stihl ms 460 and it makes my ears ring for a month with out some type of noise reduction lol. I have a oldd homelite 770 Gs and it is louddddd as hell.
@highcountrytimber Those old homelites have some serious bark to them. How do you like that "Gear Shifter". I would love to get my hands on that. The 460 is a good saw to. Hey check out some of my other videos cause i got a bunch of my saws on here and always adding more
Leatherface ain't gonna be happy u using his chainsaw on wood rather than on "prime meat"

@emanhacker To allege that pine and cedar are worth almost twice as much as ash and mulberry is lunacy.
Or, where can I pick up a truckload of mulberry and ash for that price? Moisture content is? Por amiga.
