Sick Hummer! Can't wait till I buy 1!Just makes me wonder how it is that I never bent(or at least noticeably) my frame from jumping my Mitsubishi Montero Limited. I have gotten the same amount of air many times on sand, asphalt & everything between at Dunes, street jumps etc going 40-110 mph & a few bigger jumps. RR tracks were pretty harsh =p Then again, it is inspired greatly by rally racing like Dakar Rally which it has won a record amount(just sucks Mitsu is out of racing now).Post more vids!
@GinoGC3 Your Montero is a lot lighter than a HMMWV or an H1, at probably half the mass so that makes it a bit more forgiving :) We'll post more vids with the newer truck in the future along with a second truck.... this video is way out of date...
@117ss It's important yes, it's simple math, most trophy trucks have to run very high speeds in very rough terrain and half don't finish. Just go out to Baja, or Johnson Valley or Parker, to any major race and see for yourself. It's not a forgiving environment. If a truck can't run on a small short track without damage it won't make it through a desert race. If you take it easy and drive slow there's still going to be 20 trucks ahead of you that do finish.
@117ss The driver is the owner, it isn't abusive, that's normal driving conditions for 90 mph desert racing off road. The truck now has upgraded suspension and weighs about 1200 lbs lighter with an improved cooling system.
is this the h1 king originally made the king kongs for a while ago? or tested? i think i saw a thread on rdc a while ago on it. how much does this weigh? i would hate to be the guy to valve those shocks.
We're upgrading the suspension with new control arms, this video is fairly odd, I'm looking forward to putting newer videos online in the coming months.

@Herik77 There was a turbocharger issue during that test, it's certainly not normal operation.

I must disagree. Finishing the race at all is kind of important. Looking forward to the new videos though.

I like it but needs some work on the suspension. Looks like it lands really hard.
