  • Michael Badnarik was too leftist for Ron Paul. As for Ron Paul in 2004... he looked 4 years younger, I suppose

  • MIKE GRAVEL FOR PRESIDENT!

The last hope we have to change this country!

He will impower the people to make and vote on laws!

    GRAVEL GRAVEL GRAVEL GRAVEL GRAVEL!

    MIKE GRAVEL 08!

  • Ron Paul is a Republican, a non-partisan Republican. He's not afraid of finding common ground with "outsiders" and being called "unclean" by his insider associates. He wins wars with ideas, with his intellect, with knowledge, and with wisdom. Ron Paul can make being Republican honorable again, so we don't lose all of our voter base to third parties, and fancy independent orators.

  • competition is what makes markets honest. it is what will make gov. honest too. RP will get the lib. nomin. on april 15.

  • I'm all for competition, but there is not fair competition when it comes to independents and 3rd parties, and apparently the republicans want to get rid of any series competition even in their own party. so goodbye to America. I wish I was old enough to remember a free market... =(

  • thats my pt. we need a 3rd party to be competitive. RP is the only real chance for that in a long time.

  • well, it's not the lack of good 3rd party candidates, it's the lack of preferential treatment from the state that stifles competition among parties. personally I think all parties are distasteful, not because they all have bad platforms, but because it provides a false sense of security in a candidate. I like the Republican platform, I liked the older platform even better. But I say get rid of all parties, and get individuals competing for the office.

  • @travail101 Dont you realize that Republican is as Corrupt as Democrats?

Why not a 3rd Party, why not

  • Ron Paul first ran for congress in 1975, as a Republican. He first won in a special election the next year. He was one of the first to support Ronald Reagan's run for president.

He left office to return to medical practice in the mid 80's. In 1988 he ran for president on the Libertarian ticket. He was unable to get into the debates or to get any media coverage. The regulations for political parties make it hard on third parties.

He returned to the congressional race as a Republican in 96.
