@ curlydemon- although I agree with u on marriage being around before religion, religion only formed after Christ's death so u still have the whole time between Adam and Eve and the start of religion. In Genesis 2:24 God defines marriage as being between a man and a woman
@karmalevel How does the word "marriage" affect you should two men ot two women marry? They love just like you but because of the "word" of the bible is ridiculous. The SAME bible states, "Only God judges." Afterall, HE created all of us right so did he not make the homosexual people? It's just shameful
@mnmgrly1 God is the ultimate judge, but he appointed judges throughout the Old Testament and the apostles (chosen by Jesus) acted as judges in the new Testament. A change in the definition of marriage affects religious organizations (e.g. orphanages and foster care) to the point that they have to be shut down (e.g. Washington DC, Massachusetts - loss of religious rights). God made the people of Sodom too, but HE wasn't pleased with their behavior was HE?
I'm not here to start any fights or arguments with my opinion so don't think I'm gonna argue with ne one. First let me say that I am a Born again Christian who tries my best to live my life according to the Bible and in order to do so I read it everyday. It says very clearly that homosexuality is wrong BUT it also says that judging ANYONE outside ur church is wrong. I completely disagree with homosexuality but it's God's job to judge NOT CHRISTIANS! If u can honestly say u r a homosexual Christ
The Flying Spaghetti Monster blesses all those who truly believe in his noodly appendages and they will have a marriage based upon the truth- and the truth is Kirk Cameron believes a banana is perfect and that god is perfect therefore god being perfect is a banana. We are all blessed to have this tasty dinner before us courtesy of the divine noodly appendages!
Bill said in another video that gays shouldn't parade around and tell others to accept them. Is that not what religions do all of the time? I am gay and christian. What's the big deal. I know what I believe and I know what I feel.
Homosexual activists understand the power of words.
Please visit my channel to watch a one-minute video clip in which popular atheist author Richard Dawkins admits that homosexual activists "hijacked the word 'gay'".
The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate because it, unlike the word "gay", actually describes the behavior/attraction/relationship being discussed.
The word "gay" helps homosexual activists push their agenda.
So god defines marriage? For who? Which marriages? Abraham had more than one wife. In fact, polygamy was allowed. Did the definition of marriage change? If so, when? Why? And if this aspect of marriage changed, why not other aspects of marriage. And we are not even talking about America. How about other cultures. Do our definitions of marriage apply to them too? Why? Saying that god defines marriage is hiding your own beliefs and view behind the great and powerful Oz.

Nothing wrong with marching down a public street and saying what you want, but be prepared for a reaction. I bet they wouldn't be so calm and passive if people stood outside their place of worship and told them they were stupid. Just because you have the right to do something doesn't make it right.
Science has caused religion to backtrack repeatedly throughout history. The reverse has never been true. God is invisible and supernatural. Science is not. Science uses evidence. God uses a 2000 year old book that makes little sense and has fantastic stories. Science has given us technology, longer life spans, medicine, tv, computers, internet and religion has given us terrorism, hatred for gays, blind gullibility.
I think it's interesting how a Christian Evangelical like Kirk Cameron denounces Mormonism, yet cherry pick out only one doctrine of anti-Homosexuality within the Mormon faith.
Islam teaches us that gays are subhuman, why should we allow gays life at all? They should be thankful Christians are such watered down that they don't really give a crap if they exist. Don't go pushing your luck gays, the Christian tiger may wake up.
@stinnetbennet Christanity has been bitch-whipped and is dying. The last nation where there are more then 60% christians(in the west) is the USA. Islamic non secular nations will never take power. CHina is SUPER secular and will dominate after the usa loses control. The tiger is dead and Islam is next. You only increase by birth rate not conversions...atheism has never need priests to convert..just education and logic.
No offense but I don't see a deep hearted-ness in Kirk. He's still a pretty watered down Christian to me. Any body here that is interested in learning more about the true word Of God (if you believe) google Art Sepulveda here on youtube. Peace.
No ones stopping fags from being together. Who gives a shit whether you can get a marriage certificate theres worse things in our world lol get the fuck over it.
"redefine marriage?" Not at all. Lakota chief Crazy Horse had one or two male spouse(s) and many other Native American nations also have had what we now call same-sex marriages. Ethnographers have documented this. Examples: Omahas, Zapotecs, Mohaves, Crow, Ojibwa, Winnebago, Yuma...and more. Other cultures too. In 17th century Fukian Province China, same-sex marriages between gay men seem to have been common. And in West Africa, "woman marriage[s]" practiced by many nations. Cameron fail.

Instead of denying a group of ppl the right to marry. Why don't Christians go after the heteros "living in sin" there are so many couples living together outside of marriage and having kids. Those are the things they should worry about. That is "If they feel the need to stick their noses into other ppl's lives". Bigbird I so agree with you.
So god defines marriage? The USA being a secular country with no established state religion, should take one religions view on a issue over all the other people that live within that country? If you don't like gay marriage then don't get married to the same sex. It will hardly unravel society if someone else decides to. They said the same thing about inter racial marriage

Does he know how many times Marriage has been redefined over the course of history? And Marriage was not a union defined by God EVER, but until relatively recently a Matter of Property. And still is in many parts of the world.
I don't believe in censorship. About 99% of the time, I would fight for someone's rights to speak whether I agree or not. O'Reily, and Cameron are in that one percent that I would shut up given half the chance. There is a difference between stating your opinion and showboating to the masses like Dr Craig. It's the oily smiles on the three of them that just screams LIAR.
@orchdork02 Oops, i ended my quotes too early. I was basically saying he was contradicting himself by saying it's a free country, but then was for not allowing people to marry based on his religious beliefs. I am for gay marriage.
@MyloDude22 Not necessarily. Free to speak and free to choose are different. Most people will allow someone to speak, but get pissed when they see that same person doing something they would rather they didn't. This is my thoughts on it, anyway. I don't agree with them.
@skywize Right, but he didn't say "this is a free speech country." he said "this is a free country" but he wants to limit a person's right to marry who they want purely based on his religious belief which shouldn't have a place in creating public policy. A belief takes rational thought out of the discussion and goes purely to dogmatic, "well God says it's wrong" reasoning, which isn't reasoning at all.
Christians are speaking about "Creation" by God. Christian evangelicals are basing their standards upon the Holy Bible; not the government. Christians were the "founding fathers" of this nation & collectively created the United States of America as we know it today. Christians that are true to God's word in the Holy Bible "do not condem" gay or lesbian people. Chrisitans love the sinner; but HATE THE SIN. This is what God teaches us in his word-the Holy Bible. God will judge all people. Amen.
@idahopaula You know, I consider myself as a Christian as well. However, people like you are just beyond pathetic. You might as well tell the government to outlaw divorce.
@ttiiyy Hello. May I remind you my Dear One that in the Old Testament in the book of Leviticus Chapter 18:22 God specifically says that "homosexuality" is an ABOMINATION. In those days the people were stoned. Jesus came. He told the "adulterous woman, "Does any man here condem you?" "No, she said." "Well then, I do not condem you either. Go, and sin no more." Sodom & Gohmorra were destroyed along with 3 other cities because of rampant homosexuality & perversion. True christians believe.
@idahopaula "God specifically says that "homosexuality" is an ABOMINATION."
No he didn't...that's a lie.
How could the Bible say that when the word "homosexual" wasn't even coined until the last century? When you have to prop up your argument with lies....isn't it time to evaluate your own integrity?
@clubindiana4 : Leviticus Chapter 18 Verse 22: Homosexuality is absolutely forbidden, for it is an enormous sin.Leviticus Chapter 20 Verse13: The penalty for homosexual acts is death to both parties. They have bought it upon themselves. This from the Old testamnet-Now, the New Testamnet. Romans Chapter 1 Verses 26 & 27: That is why God let go of them and let them do all these evil things, so that even their women turned agaisnt God's natural plan for them & indulged in sex sin. Cont
@idahopaula How could the bible EVER discuss "homosexuality" when the word "homosexual" was not created until the prior century?
I'm happy for you that you have mastered the 'copy n paste' function on your computer....now explain how you are inserting a 75 year old word into a 2000 yr old book.
@clubindiana4 In the King James version printed in the 1600's this bible says the words "lust with men for men". In the Living Bible where I am writing to you it was translated from the King James to "homosexuality" for people to understand God's word in a clearer message. This word "homosexuality" is in the New American Translation & the Living Bible. However, the original text from Hebrew to Greek then to proper english from King James in England it is: Lust of men with men.Amen
@clubindiana4 Hello Dear One, No, not that. This translation has the same meaning from the word of God. The translation was meant for an easier understanding of the King James original english version. The words "lust with other men" is found in the original bible in english in the 1600's. However, in these translations to more modern english the meanings of these words "remain the same" as God intended. Homosexuality is STILL A SIN in God's eyes. Enormous sin. Amen.
@idahopaula I find people like you very disturbing.
I'm not even a christian, and I have a basic education in Greek and Hebrew, and did translation projects in class. I don't claim to have all the answers....but, what I do know is that you are intentionally distorting the bible to suit your purposes.
There are 6 biblical references to same sex activity....and not a single one of those even definitively establishes a distinction in sexual preference.
@clubindiana4 No, you do not understand. I am not your judge here. Jesus will judged the "saved christians or the church" and God is going to judge the sinners or non-christians at the Great White Throne Judgment after the 1,000 year reign of peace here on earth. When Jesus comes back in his 2nd coming he is going to set-up his throne in Jerusalem for 1,000 years. Called The Millinieum. You may rationalize your beliefs to suit you, but God is in control of this planet. God Bless.
@idahopaula If you are honest with yourself....even you would have to admit....erroneously inserting the word "homosexual" into your "favored translation" only serves to promote your agenda.
Why haven't you studied the original texts of your own religion? Why haven't you educated yourself? What is your excuse?
@clubindiana4: Romans Chapter 1 Verses 26 & 27 con't-with each other. And the men, instead of having a normal sex relationship with women, burned with lust for each other, men doing shameful things with other men and, as a result , getting paid within their own souls with the penalty they so richly deserved. The Book of Jude-book right before Revelation-Jude Chapter 1 Verse 7: And don't forget the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns all full of lust. Continued
@seahorse05: That may be true for Jefferson, however, many times the very first President, George Washington said in many speeches that this country was originally a nation founded by the Puritans and he quoted from them. America would not fail as long as it remained, "One country "under God", indivisable, with liberty, and justice for all." Under God. President Washington believed in God as did the original writers of the Declaration of Independence.Currency=In God we Trust.
@seahorse05: Did I force anyhting on you or anyone here? No, I did not. I am speaking about what I believe in as you are too. Nobody is forcing anything here. So, please, get off that one. Okay. As for the presidents you can say whatever, but, after much research into the history of the US I have found a large majority of our "Founding Fathers" did in fact hold God in their beliefs and they relyed on God for everything in this country. Puritans established the church of God.
@idahopaula Now you gone from asserting falsely that "founding fathers were christian" meaning all of them to "a large majority" ...and so what...many were slave owners. So I guess you support slavery too .....and like your bible does too.
I'm not buying all this idolatry and worship of "founding fathers" done by fundamentalist Christians ...I think it's weird and without empirical support.
@seahorse05: Not failing. God was given praise and worship in their speeches to America-George Washington, Benjamnin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, even Thomas. Yes, God founded and blessed this nation from the beginning. You are blind! Amen.
@idahopaula prove it..prove your invisible friend imposed guns, germs and steel onto the many Native indigenous people (Native American Nations) wiping out most of them.
That is your loving god? slavery too?
genocide? imposing culture and religion on nations and people that were doing fine before Europeans came ? Then kidnapping, killing and enslaving Africans to do the labor to become wealthy? they owned slaves.
Blind? You are the blind one, slavery and genocide..how loving
@seahorse05: God is the Creator of this world. When people reject him there are many consequences. People are very sinful as all people are born "sinners" because of the fall of Adam & Eve in Garden of Eden. From that time going forward every person born is a "sinner". Because of this there are choices people make as God created us to be able to "choose God or the secular world." Hence, all of these greedy, nasty, evil people do horrendous things to each other-this is SIN=problem!
@idahopaula If the bible is true, Adam HAS to have been the first person to to exist. We know for a fact that this is nonsense. If you want to deny reality for your holy book, go for it, but you're wrong.
Is there a god? I dunno. I do know that the bible CANNOT be true though.
@Zentz29: I do know God is real! I do know because I have seen divine miracles occur & I have witnessed with my own eyes physical healings, miracles, and demonic possession of one's body, mind, and soul! SATAN IS VERY REAL AND EXISTS HERE ON EARTH AND GOD IS VERY REAL AND EXISTS HERE ON EARTH. It is a constant battle of everyone's soul here on earth-it is a battle between "good and evil".
Adam was the very first human on this planet, see the Book of Genesis-1st Book in the Holy Bible.
@Zentz29: You are not a believer in God, his only Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
If you were a born again christian you would agree with me. However, you will know this truth later when the Lord Jesus returns here and God judges you in the Great White Throne Judgmnet according to the Book of Revelation in the Holy Bible. Amen. You will see the truth! God Bless You. P.S. Unless you become a christian? I am praying for you.
@idahopaula Sir, I was born in another side of the world and so I never heard of christianity or Jesus. But I believe I am a person of merit. Now am I doomed though??Am I going to hell?? Should I turn to christianity right at this moment so that I can go to ''heaven'' after death. I am so confused.I am so lost. Why did I never hear of Christianity. WHY did God this to me??!! I guess I was so 'cursed' the moment I was born.
@qcon81: Are you "for real"? Are you honestly telling me this as your truth? If so, please reply back to me. I want to know if you are making this story up on here or you are actually a person that has not heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ? Where do you live-what country, what village, what town?? Please, be honest. Okay. Thank-you. And, if you do answer me I will explain it all to you. God Bless You. I am NOT SIR. I am a lady, Miss Paula. Thank-you.
@Zentz29 That is why a different word should have been used. People who often use words outside of their proper meanings demonstrate a poor sense of reasoning.
Okie dokie. Everyone does it (including you) with MANY words. If you try to tell me that every word that you use, you use in the exact sense of the definition you're a liar.
"People who often use words outside of their proper meanings demonstrate a poor sense of reasoning"
That is not true. Why do people like you just make shit up like that? I feel like I'm on the playground again. Grow up...
@idahopaula First of all...America is nowhere mentioned in the Bible. Secondly, our country was founded by Deists. Deists by definition are not Christians. The end.
@KelsoStyle19: It does not "have to be mentioned" as God describes this Gentile nation as representative by the Eagle. Many of our first few Presidents in this country based their "speeches & written documents: ending with a prayer & quoting from the Holy Bible. This is a nation founded by the Europeans , the Puritans coming here for "freedom to practice religion" without a Monarchy in England. The Church of God was founded in the 1600;s & all historical documents quote the bible.
@idahopaula Hahaha represented by the eagle...well...then why not Mexico?? They have an eagle on their flag. Jackass.
Using the Bible and prayers does not make one a Christian. Majority of faiths use prayers and meditation. Jewish believers use portions the Bible. Muslims believe in the same God as Christians. The facts are this, our country was founded by men who followed Deism. They believed that God was the creator, but that natural law followed.
@idahopaula And our country was not founded by Puritans. They landed here, but nearly 200 years later, our Constitution and democracy was NOT founded upon Puritan beliefs. If that's the case, how do we account for the Puritans of the Salem Witch Trials?? Our democracy was founded on the philosophies of John Locke and Thomas Hobbes. Period.
@idahopaula You are part right. The founders all believed in diffrent things. Jefferson was a deist and not very fond of religon and hammiliton had strong faith. Thats just one example.
@finka123456: America is and was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and they are used today. However, Lucifer has many followers in this country and soon it will no longer be the "America" that is free and the "America" that our forefathers originally fought so hard to protect. God is going to bring judgment to this country in due time. It is a parallel to Sodom & Gohmorra in many ways. America has become a spoiled, adulterated, corrupt country. God help America**right now. Amen.
@idahopaula We were not founded on Judeo-Christian principles, look up top and read the quotes from Thomas Jefferson. We are a nation where we all have freedom of religion, that means we can believe in whatever god we feel comfortable with. The Separation of Church and State prevents religion from becoming the law.
@Poochalot: George Washington was our 1st President- go look up his name and read his speech when he won the Battle at Waterloo-he thanked God Almighty-go look up Benjamin Franklin and you will see he believed and thanked God for everything-our country IS FOUNDED ON GODLY PRINCIPLES-the church has everything to do with government as quoted in the Constitution of the United States-in Washington at the Senate Building the "Ten Commandments" are inside the main floor & elsewhere. Amen!
@35Rumblefish: Now you have to SPIT PROFANITY OUT OF YOUR SICK MOUTH to make a point here! You will not be saying that to me on the way to HELL! You are talking like one of SATAN'S DEMONS right now! I feel very sorry for you as you take your last breath of life here your spirit will be heading straight down to HELL, SHEOL, GEHENNA, AND TARTARUS-all parts of hell just for you!!! Amen!** May God have mercy on your soul!!! ***God Bless You!!!
@idahopaula Profanity is a lot of fun. It adds color to any statment. And its not nearly as bad as wishing hell on someone... You do realize Hell is burning for eternity ( according to the bible that is). And you sound so sincere when you say god bless you.
Im profane because Im pissed at the arrogance of christians who think they own this country. 1st ammendment... freedom of religion which also means freedom from religion. Christians have NO right to shove their "beliefs" down our throat.
@35Rumblefish: I did not shove anything down your throat or anyone's throat-JERK!
Yes, freedom of religion speaks for itself IDIOT!! You are foolish to say the least and dumber than a box of rocks!!! May God show mercy on your soul when you die!
@booker1959: It means God will not throw a person into hell forever to burn constantly with all the demons down there-read the book of Revelation in the bible if you dare too? Yes, I mean it. Mercy for sins all human beings commit everyday. Mercy. May God pardon you of your sins so you do not suffer forever in hell-HEAVEN IS REAL AND SO IS HELL-REAL PLACES OUR SPIRIT WILL GO TO AFTER WE DIE. Okay. Amen. God Bless You Always Dear One. I AM VERY SINCERE HERE AND VERY SERIOUS.
@35Rumblefish: Thank-you Mr. Rumblefish. I appreciate you saying that as I am here to speak about God. And, how awesome God Almighty is as he is our Father in heaven and Creator-God Bless You and Peace be unto you also Dear One. Have a good day or night? Bye for now. Miss Paula in Idaho.
People who have hate and intolerance for others and their differences are childish and need to grow up and realize the world is bigger than themselves. All is created equal our founding fathers said that.
I'm so disappointed in Kirk Cameron. Who knew that he was so shallow? Classic televangelist - I'm sure he got the publicity he wanted by this interview. Why can't evangelicals realize how much they can hurt society by their bigotry?
Bill O'Reilly is a asshole and marriage is a bond between a man and a women in the eyes of god . god does not like gays he loves the people and hates the sin and saying gay should be able to get married is wrong it goes against religion and that is what marriage is based on religion
@raney875 More Jesus Freaks are obsessed with gay sex than there are gay people having it.
If you'd get laid more, maybe your mind wouldn't have to be so preoccupied with matters that don't cocern you at all.
Hey, how bout that Republican Freak Show aka nomination process? Ain't it a hoot and a holler? Makes a trailer park dweller proud to see so many losers tryin' hard to "git dat Kenian outa the White House".
Keep it up! Your reputation can't get much worse, faith-based bigots!
By the way, Kirk's an idiot. "We can make laws based on what the majority of people say."
We know, Kirk. That's how we got slavery, bans on interracial marriage, segregation, and women treated as second-class citizens. This lasted for DECADES.
His answer to O' Reilly's point, "I'm secular and don't believe in God, you can't make laws based on what God says..." still doesn't address that even though majority of the people voted for it, their vote is based upon their religious beliefs. It's funny that the same people who are vehemently against Sharia Law are essentially suggesting we adopt "Christ Law." Christian fundamentalist have more in common with their Muslim counterparts than they think.
The problem with gay marriage equality is that there is no problem. The problem with arguing against equality is so profound, that it seems idiotic to even take such a position.
There simply is no way to trace the origin of hate, since it truly is an unnatural human emotion. To hate someone is bad enough. To try and "explain" why, is pathetic.
Hmm Cameron and O'Reilly together... It's like two neutron stars of stupid. So dense. Why the fuck should anyone care what their god likes and why if real, should any god care about some random fucking people preference on who they love? How the fuck DON'T we have the authority to? Humans are the damn creatures who defined it in the first place. Damn Kirk and Bill are revolting.
The answer is really simple. The government should not be involved with marriage,(gay or not gay), at all. I personally believe that a true marriage is between a man a woman and God. The God of the Bible clearly condemns homosexual behavior. But with that said, if a gay person wants to get married in their gay church or in their own home, who am I to stop them. I have gay neighbors, do I have the right to break down their door to stop them from having sex? RON PAUL 2012!
@thinkertank1 But you are wrong. Marriage is not an issue of God, it's a government issue. You need to realise that not everyone believes in your religion and you don't have the right to make laws based on Christianity. You can blow up marriage all you want but in the end it's nothing but a signature on a piece of paper.
@AnimeAdept Seriously? Did you read my comment? I said the government should not be involved with marriage. How is this confusing to you? Ok I'll explain so you understand. If the government is not involved with marriage, (as I advicated), then no laws would passed by the government concerning marriage. Get it? If you don't, Please explain why marriage must be a "government issue" and what I am wrong about? Open your mind and learn about freedom.
@thinkertank1 I read your comment. You are boiling marriage down to be a ceremoial activity but it isn't nor do i think it should be. Marriage is a government issue concerning two people living together. Whatever ceremony comes after that is purely based on the couple not the government. If the Church does not want to marry gay people then I am fine with that since they are not the government. Gay people can get married on a beach or something.
@thinkertank1 Why do I think that the government should be involved in marriage? Good question. Because the government needs to keep statistics on this stuff like how many people are married and how many kids. Then they use that to make decisions. But it's just a signature. And any two people should be allowed to sign it. Anyways, let me reiterate, the government should be a part of marriage but only the signing of the sheet of paper for statistical reasons. Anything after that is coincidental.
@SAUNDERSacts2618 If the government was not involved with marriage it would not promote, recognize, or condemn marriage or what people define as marriage. If some guy decides to "marry" his daughter, his dog or the love of his life, the government would not even know about it. However, incest, child abuse, or bestiallity is a whole other area of the law having to do with consent, age, free will, and if someone or, (in your riduculous example), some animal is being harmed.
Bill asked really good questions that eventually had Kirk cornered with his weak pleas about a Christian majority and God have the final say for public laws...what a douche.
2:20 - "I do believe marriage is between one man and one woman for life." - Kirk Cameron
3:00 - "I certainly don't define marriage and neither does anybody else." - Kirk Cameron
I have to say though, perhaps for the first time, O'Reilly seemed to actually do a fairly decent job here. His disdain for the gays seemed implicit however he did actually ask some legitimate questions from the liberal perspective, so credit where it is due.
Where's your banana Kirk? You're a fuckhead and you obviously don't understand that marriage is a union of love, and as such has nothing to do with gender. Also, marriage predates Christianity. Put the Bible down Kirk, you have it pressed so closely to your face it's cutting off the oxygen to your brain.
@Poochalot I love my father and brother..does this mean we can get married ?
Need to thank you for clearing up all the Marriage stuff..Wow we humans had had it wrong for so many years..it took your comment to make me see the light !!!
@RCSVirginia Yes I did see that one, but I watched it again anyway :) I knew the banana was "related" to the plantain and that a plantain has to be cooked first. I'm really surprised that he didn't know that, hasn't he ever set foot in a grocery store?

In 17th century Fukian Province China, same-sex marriages between gay men seem to have been common. And in West Africa, "woman marriage[s]" practiced by many nations. Cameron fail.

If you don't like gay marriage then don't get married to the same sex. It will hardly unravel society if someone else decides to. They said the same thing about inter racial marriage

@skywize Right, but he didn't say "this is a free speech country." he said "this is a free country" but he wants to limit a person's right to marry who they want purely based on his religious belief which shouldn't have a place in creating public policy. Christians are speaking about "Creation" by God. Christian evangelicals are basing their standards upon the Holy Bible; not the government. Christians were the "founding fathers" of this nation & collectively created the United States of America as we know it today. Just because our forefathers burned some people at the stake--Pre-United States, I might add-- doesn't mean that reflects our actual laws today.

Homosexuality is wrong, but I don't think Bill O'Reilly should host a talk about it.
Eye2EyeIIIV 1 month ago

You wanna go back to THAT?!

If they're married they're closet cases. How do I know this ? Cause I work & know a lot of people in the bussiness! ; )
NuLaifMusic 1 month ago

"Two neutron stars of stupid." Ha! That is brilliant!
RCSVirginia 1 month ago
The answer is really simple. The government should not be involved with marriage,(gay or not gay), at all. I personally believe that a true marriage is between a man a woman and God. The God of the Bible clearly condemns homosexual behavior. But with that said, if a gay person wants to get married in their gay church or in their own home, who am I to stop them. I have gay neighbors, do I have the right to break down their door to stop them from having sex? RON PAUL 2012!
thinkertank1 1 month ago
@thinkertank1 But you are wrong. Marriage is not an issue of God, it's a government issue. You need to realise that not everyone believes in your religion and you don't have the right to make laws based on Christianity. You can blow up marriage all you want but in the end it's nothing but a signature on a piece of paper.
AnimeAdept 1 month ago
@AnimeAdept Seriously? Did you read my comment? I said the government should not be involved with marriage. How is this confusing to you? Ok I'll explain so you understand. If the government is not involved with marriage, (as I advicated), then no laws would passed by the government concerning marriage. Get it? If you don't, Please explain why marriage must be a "government issue" and what I am wrong about? Open your mind and learn about freedom.
thinkertank1 1 month ago
@thinkertank1 I read your comment. You are boiling marriage down to be a ceremoial activity but it isn't nor do i think it should be. Marriage is a government issue concerning two people living together. Whatever ceremony comes after that is purely based on the couple not the government. If the Church does not want to marry gay people then I am fine with that since they are not the government. Gay people can get married on a beach or something.
AnimeAdept 1 month ago
@thinkertank1 Why do I think that the government should be involved in marriage? Good question. Because the government needs to keep statistics on this stuff like how many people are married and how many kids. Then they use that to make decisions. But it's just a signature. And any two people should be allowed to sign it. Anyways, let me reiterate, the government should be a part of marriage but only the signing of the sheet of paper for statistical reasons. Anything after that is coincidental.
AnimeAdept 1 month ago
@thinkertank1 Really, what if some man wants to marry his daughter? or his dog?
SAUNDERSacts2618 1 month ago
@SAUNDERSacts2618 If the government was not involved with marriage it would not promote, recognize, or condemn marriage or what people define as marriage. If some guy decides to "marry" his daughter, his dog or the love of his life, the government would not even know about it. However, incest, child abuse, or bestiallity is a whole other area of the law having to do with consent, age, free will, and if someone or, (in your riduculous example), some animal is being harmed.

Kirk Cameron is at least consistent. He is wrong on gay rights, and he is wrong on evolution. And has he ever been wrong on his choice of movies!
For a great take on Kirk and his ideas, or rather lack of ideas, take a look at Criss Rad's YouTube video:
"Origin of Stupidity" by ZOMGitsCriss
It is not to be missed.

His disdain for the gays seemed implicit however he did actually ask some legitimate questions from the liberal perspective, so credit where it is due.
hungryman211 2 months ago
Where's your banana Kirk? You're a fuckhead and you obviously don't understand that marriage is a union of love, and as such has nothing to do with gender. Also, marriage predates Christianity. Put the Bible down Kirk, you have it pressed so closely to your face it's cutting off the oxygen to your brain.
