  • I don't understand why all of these other countries use music like that when all breakin should be to rap or 808 style fast beats. These people have made into some inde-rock music and that kills the entire feel of what a battle suppose to be.

  • @db7987 If you don't understand, you probable didn't heard about breakbeat, cuz in Poland B-Boys (name probably from Break-Boys), dance BREAKdance to BREAKbeat music, like it was on early eighties. Sound quality on this vid turns breakbeat to something more like rock, but it isn't rock, I heard that on live...

  • i agree - i wouldn't even call that music hip hop; it was some kind of weird funk-rock . . . breakdancing began to RAP music, people . . remember? . . oh, you probably do not remember . . well, i certainly do - i was there, doing no-hand windmills back in 83 . . .

also, TOP 9 didn't look like their usual ON POINT selves here for some reason . . .

  • really because im pretty sure BBOYING began 10 years before that when people were listening to funk music e.g. james brown. How could breaking begin to rap music if its all part of the same culture? Did rap music just suddenly occur right when breakin started and thats what they danced to? Ill answer that No it didn't learn some history and use your head next time before makin dumb comments lol pz

  • no garrett, bboying DID NOT begin 10 years before that, in 1973, to James Brown. Though it did begin with rap, we were certainly breaking to all kinds of other music, e.g. SOS Band, Klymaxx, Bambaata, and other types of Electro-Funk, etc., as early as 80/81. As far as 'urban' dance music at the time goes, that was when the transition from a much more Disco sound (soulful disco, then to more funky disco) - to more Electro/Funk - then Hip Hop (Break) Beat started to take over . . .

  • wow.. you're an idiot! HAHAHHAHA

  • @Ciecle Wow, that's all you can say? That is so very fascinating . . maybe you know something I don't? Oh, did you read something somewhere? maybe I'm getting old, but at least I was there. Also, I am not from either New York or the inner city, so it took a minute to filter out to my location(also being young) - but aside from being the one to introduce many people in my area to hip hop/rap music for the first time, I can count people like Kool Herc among personal friends of mine. And you . . ?

  • ME? I'm the fuckin TRUTH son..you must be my agent... :) go watch the freshest kids..or wild style or stlye wars you fucking moron.. :) yea..im talking shit...i dont care how old you are and all that..you're trying to correct educated bboys on our history and you're a NOBODY with FALSE information..so yea.. IM TALKIN..hehe.. and im having a damn good time doing it! ^_____^ Y

  • @TheAgentOfTruth Google Dj Kool Herc, his the truth.. grandfather of hiphop, bboying didn't start with rap music.. and i don't wanna argue with u, because u obviously don't know shit, just google the man and get lighten up ur third eye baby...

  • @TheAgentOfTruth It did not begin to rap. Rocking and breaking came before mcing. You say you were there, but are full of shit. Maybe you should correct your history. TBB and MZK were rocking in 73 (the beginning). There were no rappers.

  • @girtisholland gosh i wish i remembered the name of the song but i think rap started alot earlier then 73 i remember hearing a old school song from the 50's that i would totally call a rap song.

  • both crews were dope but that dj sucked hot unwashed panda ass ;O)
