most of the academic economists in this film come across as villains but this guy just seems like a hapless clown. like even the interviewer (not notably a sympathetic person) seems sorry for the guy, saving him with that "ok" at the end before that stutter really got out of hand.

Looks like the narrator is editing this clip to make Mishkin look bad. This kind of editing has no place in a documentary such as this one. Mishkin even changed the title of that article on his CV so that it stated "Instability" instead of "Stability" to try to mislead and disguise what he did. He knows that he's caught, and the stunning thing is how long it took for this to happen. I can only imagine how many other instances of this type of thing are happening unnoticed and unchecked.
