@drumitar When I first got em, I ran em directly through the Pio vsx-23txh receiver, and the sound was lacking. The receiver actually went into protect mode once. After I added the monoblocks, the midrange and bass came alive and soundstage opened up. They're great speakers for the money, but you do need a good amp to run them.
