  • How exactly do you use the dremel to do detail? I've seen dragonmaster073's videos and how to's along with yours. How do I go about having the hilts raised areas? Is that possible with just a router? I have a good cut out but no idea how to do that extreme detail.

  • First: your awesome

Second: how did you do the trace out thing

Lastly: THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH YOU ROCK!!!

  • What materials would you suggest for the way to dawn cosplay? I plan to cosplay as riku for a con, and i really want to make his keyblade instead of paying those outrageous prices.

  • @ChaosCherubim I'd use wood for the base and do all the details in clay (or you can do it out of wood and use a dremel tool to carve it out

  • Hmm, how sturdy would you say the keyblade is? Because I'm planning on making a keyblade fight video, and I want to know if it would be safe to possibly hit two of them together. Not hard, but enough to get the point across.

  • @Artfreak9869 wood and this type of clay is pretty sturdy. But be careful!

  • Ive never seen anyone ever make that keyblade, you did a really awesome job. =) where did you get all the printouts of the keyblades?

  • @ javakcat343 Hi, I would like to know where to get most the materials and it would mean the world to me because Kingdom Hearts is one of my favorite game franchises and to actually have a keyblade would be AWESOME!!!! P.S YOUR RUMBLING ROSE LOOKS GREAT!

  • @eltipico4030 Sorry I took forever to get back to you! I shop in Seattle, so depending where you are it can be hard to find a similar brand of store. But here is my list, Joanns, Michaels, various art stores in Seattle, Dollar tree, Dollar Store, Goodwill, Value Village, Home Depot, Lowes, etc...Pretty much any art store, craft supply store, or hard ware store. Google those to find them in your area.

  • Overall, how much did it cost just to make Rumbling Rose?

  • @RagexAnimal I think around $85+

  • @javakat343 and that's because you had to buy all the woodcutting and clay stuff huh?

  • @RagexAnimal I had a file that listed it all, but I lost it. If memory serves me then it was a rough estimate. The plank of wood I used could make 4 or five key blades so I reduced the price to the portion that I used. I bought larger portions of say wood putty, than I needed and I bought double of some things like paint primer because I messed up or didn't use it sparingly. Shop smart is all I can say. Cut corners where you can.

  • @javakat343 Thanks a lot! If I ever make one I'll make sure to put it as a video responce. :)

  • Hikari xD<3

  • U forgot the keychain

  • ca you teach me how to make fenrir PLZ!?!?!

  • @raccoonboy991 I think if you use foam and follow my tutorials you could make the keyblade. You might want to look up some other tutorials on working with the foam though :)

  • @javakat343 thanks

  • @javakat343

  • how do you make the image life-size on Microsoft paint???

  • OMG finally!!!

    *collapses*

A tutorial that explains how to apply detail to the keyblade using clay. T.T

Thank u soooo much for posting this. ^.^

If it's not too much trouble I would very grateful if u could answer a small question and offer me some advice.

    The thing is that I'm trying to make Aqua's bright crest. For the wavy looking parts on it, Is it best to use hardy clay or *wat was it O.o I think Magic mold* to make the wave details look 3D? I kinda got lost. ^^;

  • Sorry. It's my first time making a keyblade. Your response is greatly appreciated ^.^

  • @lilylionheart You can use either, or BOTH! I like the consistency of Hearty better, and I think its easier to work with for that intricate of sculpting, but its definitely more expensive. Coupons, coupons, coupons is my advice!

  • i will make the classic keyblade, i love it!!!!!

  • Hiya I was wondering if you could help me? I want to make a keyblade for a few of my friends and one for myself but I have NEVER made anything from wood and I dont really know where to begin I also dont have any of the tools that would be need for making them. so I was wondering if you could tell me All the tools I would need? The keyblades I want to make are Hidden Dragon, Oblivion, Ultima Weapon, Kairi's keyblade, Pumpkin King, Oathkeeper, Two across, and the Ultima weapon in KH2. PLZS HELP!

  • @lastdarklight hi there well almost all the weapons u amnt to make are really detailed but i can tell you this u can as this tutorial says to make it the basci form out of wood this would be really easy all the process iuf u dont have the tools dont worry about it u can go to any wood store and there u can ask them to cut the form u want out of the same wood maybe some extra charge but it would be easier for you to make! you and your friends can gatter together the whoile money and that would

  • @lastdarklight make easier to pay next u can ask after the wood is cut out in the keyblade shape that they sand the corner so it has no pointy parts and it will be again an extra charge but u have alredy done the half of the work!!! now come the dificult part u should buy some epoxy cly that its dry with air for modeling the parts u can use the images as refrence to amde them so it would be easier once u have done all details u let it dry and then painted and done! u got a keyblade hope it helps

  • make the keyblade axel gives you in the game !!! the chakram blade, er the fire thing idk whats it called srry. ^_^

  • @SgtKittay247 : for who?

  • @Sassygamer2

check my first key blade tutorial video for links to picture references, those are the best I know of

  • one more questions how did you make the rose?

  • ty so much im planning on making Ven's and Terra's keybaldes lol, but im starting off with ven's hopefully it will end up good =P

  • ty very much im new to cosplaying and i love diy stuff and hate spending $300 for a keyblade ^.^

  • I need to somehow make my Jecht sword, this seems like a good idea.

  • Nvm I know how to color lol

  • Ah, but there is an art to it! ;)

  • Would I be able to email u instead? cuz I can't figure out how to pm on YouTube from the iTouch XD

  • Ok! I most likely have most of this Lyin around my house cuz my dads a plumber. As for the guard, I'll ask my friend cuz he bought one of eBay so I'll see what size of wood they used to make that and the head. Your very helpful and thank you very much! Oh and do u still have rumbling rose for sale?

  • I do! PM me!

  • Oh, and if u were to make a kingdom key out of PVC pipe, what size pipe would u use and what would u use for the handle and head? I'm tryin to make it sturdy. XD

  • It depends on the size of your blade...3/4-1 inch maybe?

Its about aesthetics, the diameter of the PVC won't affect the overall sturdiness...

  • It is? Sweet! My birthdays comin up so I could probably either ask for that or get money and buy it! If I give u my email can u send me info on like how much it would cost and pictures and stuff please?

  • So the clay wouldn't fall off right like it won't dry out or anything, but does it dry and harden?? I'm not sure??

  • Nope! Paper clay sticks well to paper and all sorts of wood based products. I did have trouble getting model magic to stick to foam but even that stayed.

The worst it will do is shrink and crack a tad (which is repairable)

  • That is freaking epic! I was wonderin if you would make or sell one of the keyblades once i got money?

  • rumbling rose is for sale!

  • thanks for the guide! :)
