I've always thought, that review should be objective. Thinkpads are designed to be strong and reliable machines. They have got ascetic look for a couple of reasons:

It's not a typical plastic, color is not glossy, material used for covers is scurfy - everything for being resistant for scratches. Besides, this look is saying "I'm here to work hard, not to look"

On the other hand, thinkpad look is inconspicuous. I like that.

I can always take pride in knowing all those that comment on Lenovo's design being "Ugly" are those that consider style over substance. So when you knock your Inspiron off the table and it breaks, my X300 doesn't. When your Air's hard drive breaks, my SSD doesn't. When you need to configure your new router you have to go out and buy a USB Ethernet adaptor and I just plug the ethernet cable right in. When your Air's battery wears out, well... Mine is a cheap drop in replacement

The Air has an almost 70% bigger screen area, a much better keyboard, the best touchpad on the market and a LOT more performance.

My old macbook has the same graphics card as your medion and is incapable of running ANY modern game.

All the current Macs (including the Air) have a GeForce 9400m wich can run most if not all current games. (Crysis runs on a Mac Mini)

The Air is a 13.3" high quality laptop with decent performance yet only 130g heavier than your 10" netbook.

The selling point of the macbook air is that it is very very light and yet has a screen, keyboard and touchpad that allow very comfortable working. (I think 13" and 1280x800pixels is just about the minimum for a good laptop. 12" might be alright too)
