hey paula, ta try an answer your question iv had a pearl forum for like ever lol ummmm bout five yrs now. i bought for round 800 sounds great! a good starting kit. what i also likee about them is that there not just good for starters but also you can keep it as you progress ,not crappy. also a yamaha kit is good. but i recomend even if your lookin cheap ta buy a somewhat expensive kit. doesnt hafta be as much as john but you might as well buy a kit you can stick with. :D glad to try an help:)
gr8 vid but it help if you noo latin because when you mix a latin solo with a normal solo in a corse breakdown or somthing it just gives the song tht litle axtra bit of mojo .. p.simenota beginner ijust wana seewhat over people think how should you start drums :)
I'm thinking about buying drums... but I can't play at all, so how do u think? Cheap/beginner drum set would be ok ? or should I buy sth more expensive ?
Hi Paula, i've had around 8 kits, and personally if i was to do it al again, i'de start at middle of the range kit, with top line skins (evans or remo).
Spend around $1500 including skins. This way when you play your kit, you'll wan't to play them more since they sound great. Trade up to a better snare than the standard one - again with good qual skins, and have it tuned in by the shop boys for you.
Spend around $800 on your cymbles, resale will be good.
this is really great! :D thanks
