Panasonic VIERA TC-P60ST30 60-Inch 1080p 600 Hz 3D Plasma HDTV
I have the task to find a SMALL handheld Wireless Keyboard with Mouse combo to be used for the internet apps, Pandora, Face Book, etc. The Panasonic remote is just too cumbersome to use.
@URPREY Hello, I have the 5901 and I'm able to hold down left click button with my thumb and move the mouse wheel at the same time with the same thumb. This allows me to highlight text on screen with a single finger to copy it to the clipboard. Can you do the same thing with the 5902 with the trackpad and is it difficult? Thanks for the video!
5) Battery life -how long before the AA's need a recharge?
7) Range/Line-Of-Sight -- does this IR dongle need to be in line of sight to work? - I have been pretty well used to the DiNovo Mini with it's bluetooth connection).
8) Media shortcut keys.. looks like it has all the essentials, I like the InternetExplorer shortcut key, currently enjoying the DiNovo configured to run XBMC using a shortcut key on the media button. Any way to do that with this remote?
Looks really great. As a potential first-time buyer of this remote I'm happy to see the backlight. I currently have a DiNovoMini but it's seen better days. Would you be able to demonstrate it in use? thank you already for this current video, very nice to see the product in it's new state.
Don't you find the omission of the function keys a drawback on this one? Personally I would've really liked if Fn + the numerical buttons resulted in F1-F10. Closing a program with Alt+F4 looks problematic with the N5902.
(I'm still getting myself one though - as soon as I figure out how to make Lenovo sell one to me in Sweden...)
@URPREY yup, i just picked it up for $40. what a steal. thanks for the review. i can finally get rid of the ms arc keyboard and wireless mouse in my living room htpc
Very nice review in HD,I just got mines 2day and I loved it.I also like that its possible to click on optical mouse and also backlight and Scroll is a major upgrade.
Great vid Bill. I loved the side x side with the old model. When will OEM's realize that we don't like fingerprint magnets? The backlit keyboard looked great in the dark.

I went to Panasonic's site and found nothing!
Will this work with the Panasonic VIERA?

@austin31853 it would not. This is designed to work with a computer due to the connection it uses.

Question... Does the remote need to be in line of site with the usb receiver?

@jhobbz45 mine is connected to my HTPC behind a wall. Seems to work fine since it's RF.

I do have a few questions:
1) What is the button on the top-right? (looks like a bunch of books) - is it a win explorer shortcut? (also, what is it's 2nd function?)
2) The scrollbar... (looks nice!) can this be used for example browsing a file list in XBMC/Boxee?
3) Power-up/power-down/standby - are there any key shortcuts for doing these things on this remote?
4) Can you bring a PC back from standby/hibernation with this remote?

@KjellBrel For my uses the lack of the Fn keys hasn't been a problem but I could see where you might want them
