Malaysians don't get the point.

They used the Lotus Exige to show how the corner is done properly. It won't be shown as realistic if they used computer graphics, so they used the Exige.

Some also say that since the Kenari isn't a racing car, they shouldn't compare. The point they are making is that even a normal car should have DECENT handling, but these three cars don't.

Also, why should Malaysians complain about the comparison, since Proton now owns the Lotus company!

I don't know what you're all discussing here, these 3 cars are awful, even more than normal production cars. One has tyres which are made "ecologically" and have no grip at all, the other two have too short of a wheelbase so they are tall and short which equals high center of gravity=body roll=understeer.

This comparison sucks at all levels, and was staged purely to undermine the Smart Car. Stig drove it twice as fast into the hammerhead as May & Hammond in the Kenari (the pair of them needed to prevent the Kenari from falling flat on it's side). Note at the end of the film where Hammond says: "He never even tried....". Ooops. That was the intention! Perhaps Hammond hadn't read the script...???

The 428HP Corvette gets 27mpg highway. It has a steel frame with a fiberglass body. The 505HP Z06 gets 26mpg highway. It has an aluminum frame with a fiberglass body.

the back end part with the lights is made of some cheap plastic on all the corvette models, i saw it on a different episode of top gear. the lotus exige gets 29 mpg 1. because it is lighter and 2. it has a Toyota engine in it. the exige goes from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and one of the best handling cars in the world. i cant find how fast the corvette goes from 0-60, but i know that the exige was faster around the top gear track than the corvette.
