It would be nearly impossible to pull off a routine consistently over and over without markers as a visual cue.

@DjKahle Except they aren't just visual markers. They are placed in exactly the right place so that the spinback will never miscue, and the needle will always drop wherever he wants them too. It's an old trick and still requires some skill to pull off, but it's a trick nonetheless and can be done by anyone.
