I did prebend the tabs but didn't let the silcone set. But as I said, when I went to hit one tab, the cap would shift. It would be good if you say to let the silicone set before doing anything else. Thanx again, PG
It looks so easy yet I just spent an hour trying to mount just one with no luck. First of all I got silcone all over the place, the cap kept shifting everytime I'd hit one tab, the wheel did not stay face up but kept tilting. I can't understand why mine won't go on as easy as the one in this video does?? I know next time NO silicone. Too much of a mess. Anything hints or ideas what I may be doing wrong?? Thanx PG
@cpkphil The trick is to prebend some of the tabs before putting the cap inplace then let the silicone set for 10 minutes before putting the cap in place.
Rich...meant to tell you the Saturn is making a rattle noise. Chain has not broken. But from all info I have read. Timing chain/tensioner is wearing out.
thanks for the video and keep posting on these model A's we can use all the info we can get ...........good mechanics for these cars are hard to find and info it's crucial
I say, I could have really used this last week when my motorcoach, same make as the aforementioned, had its hubcaps purloined by a dreadful rapscallion while I was tending a motion picture theatre (it was a talkie!). I had to telegraph for a hubcap huckster in Duluth to fasten them hitherto.
I remember hitting a hammer to an acrylic screw driver and it snapped sharp in half, I stupidly ran my finger across to see if it was sharp to cut skin.

Rich...your videos are very helpful. I have a 2001 Saturn RHD Station Wagon.
Saw your videos on Saturn S-series. Do you have one on how to replace a
time chain for the Saturn. Thank you.
