i love my Desire. the only problem is the low internal storage so you have to move apps over to the included sd card. im sure thats why they included a 4 gig sd card with the phone. other than that the phone is damn near perfect and it looks and feels good and its fast. much better than the iphone mainly cus the android operating has more options than ios.
Htc desire is a bad phone.. I like most htc phones, just not the old desire.. to many heat related issues.. and the internal app memory is crap.. the cpu is power-hungry with bad heatsink.. not an issue on my other phone.. desire hd.. the cpu runs way cooler and the alu unibody realy help my phone run cool.. plastic is a bad heatsink..
Hi! Interesting review. But nowdays you can buy the Desire for around 200 euros and the Iphone cost twice as much, it's not even comparable. It's funny when he talks about brightness in both devices but it seemed that he evaluated based on the background being white on the iphone and black on the HTC. When the opposite happened later in the video, the HTC seemed much brighter.
Overall I believe the Desire to be a Great phone, Android OS is growing fast , not worth to pay twice has much.
u just need 2 update ur desire 2.3 gingerbread. many bugs r gone. and lot smoother than before. i remember after buying my desire, it was 2.2, it wasn't rotating display. couldn't connect to web, unresponsive, i upgraded, all those bugs were gone.

look at 5:36 the htc desire is so much better. the iphones and ipod touches seem to have a tendency to yellow out the screen after a while. As for the menu personally the htc's menu is better thought out. also the picture quality on the htc and iphone they seem identical it may look pixelated on the htc but the screen is bigger what do you expect. and the speed the htc is much faster

i have both, the iphone 4 is the winner IMO although the desire is not very far behind it. i find it comes down to the asthetics and the htc has the edge as standard but the jailbroken iphone 4 wins for me. i cant find a real point for one over the other worth mentioning here but the retina display.

@moreilly914 I recently bought an iphone 4 but before it I had a great HTC hero, I found the trackball really useful for texting, and im actually considering selling my iphone to buy a desire based on the features (such as the trackpad) that I really liked from my old hero. Of course I may just be set in my old ways..

@MegaDev2010 I had HTC Legend, then Desire, now Desire HD. I feel the Desire HD is the best phone however it does not look as sexy as the other 2. Plus I (personally) I think a 4.3in phone is a bit too big. I would wait for an HTC dual-core phone or go for the new Desire S that was just released.

HTC has worse flash now for the youtube site for me... It's just really buggy.. and of course the internal memory ruins everything, and the phone loses battery too quickly (yes i do deactivate 3g lower the screen light and terminate everything with an app killer)... the only good game is angry birds, most apps really suck.. iPhone is for a person who know that adding all that stuff will slow down their phone. Apple is a design company, aimed at people who want a clean professional phone with quality software. HTC is for people who dont care as much about the design or the look because they can customize them to be however they want. I like both phones, but I'll stick with my iPhone until they combine the two

@zazaspost from zedge. It is called RAIN. Go to zedge.com and select desire, then search for RAIN. Or dld the Zedge app in the market place and do it through your phone...this option is easier

HTC has worse flash now for the youtube site for me... It's just really buggy.. and of course the internal memory ruins everything, and the phone loses battery too quickly (yes i do deactivate 3g lower the screen light and terminate everything with an app killer)... the only good game is angry birds, most apps really suck.. Im gona get an iphone 4...

It has the same resolution though despite the bigger screen and I heard the HD version has shorter battery life.

@Rubidude How is Apple more advanced? They used a 4 year old A4 processer in their iPhone 4. And Apple didn't even make it, they just changed around one of Samsung's processor designs and got them to make it.

I'm really stuck on whether I should get an Iphone 4 or a HTC Desire....but I already have an Ipod 32gigs...so my ipod would go to waste if i get an iphone? =/ ARGH both are such good fones, except im leaning towards Iphone more.because I know i can trust apple & i love the apps interface & Itunes is very easy to handle. Android apps arent that great....

I think you should mention the price of both mobile phones because you said it is hard to choose a winner but the htc desire is much cheaper.

iPhone is for a person who know that adding all that stuff will slow down their phone. Apple is a design company, aimed at people who want a clean professional phone with quality software. HTC is for people who dont care as much about the design or the look because they can customize them to be however they want. I like both phones, but I'll stick with my iPhone until they combine the two
