Organized religion has done some terrible things in the past but as I said, it has matured. The "religion" I am acquainted with is totally opposed to violence. It concentrates on bettering the lives of people through education and health programs. It sends aid wherever it is needed. I see no bad in that.

Organized religion has done some terrible things in the past but as I said, it has matured. The "religion" I am acquainted with is totally opposed to violence. It concentrates on bettering the lives of people through education and health programs. It sends aid wherever it is needed. I see no bad in that.
I can understand a person who was mistreated by "organized religion" would be resentful but that is the fault of the individuals who were not living as the new testament suggested.

Quite simple. For as long as I can determine, the fort has had the policy that all arms must be locked up in the armory except at such times as there is training. The fear was that GI's would get in a squabble and use their new found fire arms skills on each other instead of fists. I know, I was there in 1966.

I think the most extreme liberal elements out there want us to believe that there are no "sane" Muslims that would commit cold-blooded murder. The truth is, the VAST majority of murderers, of any stripe, kill because of a conscious & willful act - not insanity. The investigation ultimately will reveal what his motivation for carrying out this despicable & craven act, but yelling "Allah-o-Akbar" right before you open fire is a good hint.

What is ambiguous? I just furnished you with a definition that addresses the motivation and purpose behind terrorist acts/crimes. In the context of that definition, I prefer the bluntness and stigma of the word "terrorist" over some sterile, flowery euphemism such as "extremist", or "Jihadist", or "militant".
