That is very very good actually.. great ear you have! lol :).. and I'm quite fascinated you used your right foot instead of both feet or just the left foot... isn't it easier with the left foot? unless you were contolling the effect pedal? :D
wow, that pedal on ur feet. It seems so complicated to use :o I play the piano and using the sustain alone is already a hassle >_> what more for that :i
I was impressed to listen your performance, and the lesson founded ELB -01 after the purchase. I aim for Final Fantasy prelude splitting open in the same way as you sometime. Thank you.
the pedalboard (if i can call it like that) have exactly the same pattern as a normal keyboard (long ones are the white keys and the short ones are the black ones). Now just consider them the bass notes.
And finally think that on this situation you'll most likely play the root note of each chord (arpegio) with your feet.
So if the arpegio sequence is: C - Am - F - G, on the foot pedal you'll play the bass notes that i mentioned.
Hi Ling, thanks for adding me on FB. I still have yet to recover from the shock when I first saw this video at your office. You are a truly talented musician! I think it is good to know a bit of theory, but don't let that restrict your creativity (i.e. reading music = merely a playback of whatever is written). I'd like to share with you a quote from a close friend of mine who is a pro musician "Music is played with the ears, not the eyes". Gambare!
thank you! I do believe that music is played with the ears and not the eyes too! I still have no idea how to read a score, hehe... but it's definitely good to know so that i can write my own scores and arrangements.
Oh.. I forgot to say.. With your method of learning, you actually managed to play this. It is really amazing. I told my friend about you. She also plays the electone. She went WOW!
Can't say you played it very well. But I really respect your effort. It takes lots of determination to learn with your method - listening to the song by ear and watching the fingering of other players on videos. You are one hardworking student!
By the way, it would do you great help if you learn some music theory. At least you can play new pieces off the score or make some notes for songs that you learn by ear.
PS. Maybe u teach me how to use my Canon EOS.. I'll teach u music theory.. LOL xD
thanks for the suggestion! Will definitely try to learn music theory and how to read a score, i'm sure it will be fun, hehe :P
Which Canon EOS body and lens are you using? and what genre of photography do you take? It will be cool to exchange knowledge on music and photography :)
Thanks Audacity3371 :) Learn a new word today, "arpegios". I've never been to piano lessons so this is really new. Shall go and pick up a few more new "musical terms" from Wikipedia! :)
Nice :D

What are the notes you're playing with your feet? I can't seem to find scores with those notes ANYWHERE.

@Omnislash89 Hi Omnislash89! I was playing by ear and not from scores! There's some mistakes in my pedaling though.

Actually the progression on Ab (root) is actually Ab C Eb G -> Ab. Try that out, it'll match it better :)
But great playing, especially with the foot pedals, keep it up!
