I'm so glad I grew up when I did. TV today has nothing on TV back then. Still love Ghostwriter after all these years. I'm with those who wish they had kept Rob instead of adding Hector and Casey. Rob seemed more involved and his character developed while those 2 were just there and added nothing. I also liked the original Gaby. Craig seemed like he would have been a cool character to keep.

I can understand the appeal of having an older member of the team, but the age difference, considering how they're all kids (with exception to Jeremy Miller who at this time would be close, if not already a legal adult in reality) would make the writing difficult when it comes to suspending disbelief in how they all interact. He (Miller) could portray maybe 15 (MAYBE), however he would still be years older than the next eldest, Jamal.

@VaneKathy With Craig, it's really never explained why his actor left. It's a complete mystery on that one.

As for why it ended when it did, several of the funding sources (One not listed being SEGA, who wasn't doing too well at the time.) cut off their funding for the show. As such, it didn't have the money to continue making more.

Also, a reunion wouldn't be so bad of an idea. PBS could do it for a one-time special. It couldn't hurt to ask them.

One possible reason that Craig doesnt appear more because this story arc of Mr Brinker was a pilot and it was a conclusive story without continuity.The ghostwriter staff didn¨t expect the good reception of the series.

Maybe they can t contact with Jeremy Miller (Craig) after this story. Too bad, Craig could be a great member of the team

Smoke alarm powered by electricity? That's dumb! Aren't most smoke alarms powered by battery? That means if he left power to the smoke alarm on in the circuit breaker, the smoke alarm would have stopped soon after the fire anyway when it killed the electricity and stopped the clocks. I'm guessing both clocks stopped when he set the fire at 8:05, and only set the digital one back?

I think he was supposed to become a regular (since this was the original pilot), but after the show was picked up and they filmed Ghost Story...he probably wasn't available anymore...so they wrote in Rob instead on the next story (To Catch a Creep). The characters have a lot of parallels (both are new kids and kinda like loners)
