I'm very partial to my redo with Love Twins. Phil and Laurnea were outstanding. This clip is so adorable. Laurnea performing it with the men from my other group, d'Llegance, supporting her. Like the original 7th Avenue LP, there was a story. The "story" was one side of an LP. AVI licensed it back to me and I distributed it on my own Altair Records, and along with Scherrie Payne's "I'm Not in Love," we actually got mainstream radio play on this in Los Angeles in 1983
@IanLevine No I did get in touch with him right before i moved back to LOs Angles , so that would be about almost 2 years ago about a project he sent me songs to write to for a new project with myself and the other group he had with Sherree Payne, but lost touch again after i lost my phone,
@rgianatos - It wasn't that much later. 1980, not 1983. By 1983 I was recording again with Miquel Brown. You did the Love Twins albums during the years I couldn't afford to keep recording.
@IanLevine Tht's right Ian. "Baby" was first album. On Fire was the second, and then a while later, I licensed it back from AVI. That's why the radio play was 1983. Tom dePierro was responsible.
Excellent, Ian. But I prefer your original 7th Avenue version (which I've always regarded as one of the unsung gay disco classics of 1979 along with Savage Lover, The Ring and This is Hot, Pamala Stanley - please upload the other version when you have a moment.
There will be a lot of people who will be thrilled to bits to see this "Rare"! footage and even more "Thrilled"!! when they see what a "Superb"!! video you have created!! Your creativity is "Valued" & "Appreciated"!!

Great song! Didn't make it to radio here in LA until 1983 though...

@Thrive7. You were right about the release date. I didn't do this immediately after 7th Ave, but several years later.

@rgianatos - Then it must have been the second of the two Love Twins album. One had "Baby I'm Still The Same Man" on it.

@bobrofmad The orchestra! Trident Studios, Fiachra Trench [Ian's super arranger]. I miss all that in these days of ticky tacky electronics.
