  • THE 80s WILL NEVER DIE

  • actually, they died a long time ago. That doesn't mean there wasn't good times and great music then, but today is today and the promise of tomorrow is greater than the reality of the past.

  • Imagine a time:

    * with no MySpace

    * with no Internet

    * when big hair was cool

    * when vampires were NOT cool, but scary

  • ily for thinking this way with me

  • i wasn't there for the 80's but i love them

  • SOOOOOO TIMELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The cord change at 7:09 has sent shivers down my spine for the last 20 years.("Pictures Of You" from Disintegration-1989)

  • I know exactly what you mean... at exactly 7:09; where is that sound today? It doesn't exist.

  • Amen!

  • Long live the80's

  • Great song, in personal opinion I think THE CURE is not so commercial as use to be the great band U2 because they decided not to be, I believe the robert's chioce it was to be always in the underground trends to be engraved the bands name in the underground foundation for the comming bands will choice the same trend and paas it to future generations. great band !!!!

  • Wow...nice run-on, ridiculous sentence...Otherwise, yeah, 'THE CURE' is great. They deserve much better grammar, though.

  • Grammer Nazi!!!

  • The Cure: Real music with real meaning. Timeless

  • táto pesnička bola použitá v jedenej časti seriálu Odložený prípad..pekná

  • guaauu!! me encanta este tema...y el video esta muy bueno

  • what great lyrics, The Cure kick ass!

  • AMAZING

  • Lost Love Found By Posting this song.... Never thought it could happen... but I found the CURE for my lost love........

  • Disintegration was the last album I bought before emigrating from Dublin in 1989. I'm now on my 3rd copy (sadly not vinyl now). I reckon I'm just very lucky that the album I most associate with the bitter-sweet memories of leaving me home town also happens to be timeless. And the bass in this makes me wanna smile always. This song is the crowning glory of a sublime piece of work. Why no album version posted, it's wonderful.

  • Wow robert smith is one of the most influential guitarrists ever.

  • The Cure & the Thompson Twins rock . Lies , Lies , Lies . just me !!!! Helperout ...

  • Phuck universalmusicgroup!

  • 4:14 - 4:25 epic snowball fight

  • This isn't the original.

  • dude..comin from a 80's dude...yez it waz

  • (: I love 5:58 - 6:24 ^.^

    It's so cool(:

  • This version RULZZ!!1

  • beautiful...

  • i love this long version

  • I never heard the long version before.

  • I really like this longer version better

  • this is the best quality upload universal could put up?

  • i think they made it like that so no one can rip it off

  • This is how it looked originally, even on the VHS copies I purchased in the 90's. It's taken with like a camcorder.

  • Ah comon i have seen much clearer verions of this . Also a short film about the making of this video and how cold it was . It was real snow!

  • best song ever

    simo

    from genoa

  • I love this song but I have to admit I prefer the shorter version they released as a single (the version on Galore)

  • It wasn't released on Galore. Galore is a greatest hits album. It was released originally on Disintegration which is one of the best albums ever created, if a bit melancholy.

  • Please read what I said again. The single version has much shorter instrumental sections. I specifically said "the version on Galore." I made no mention of which version was first, nor did I say that the version on Galore debuted on Galore.

I have Disintegration and Galore. The version on Disintegration is the same as the one in this video. The version on Galore is much shorter (and the Galore video collection has a video for that shorter version).

  • No, the version on Disintigration is most definitely not this one, not even close, alas. Or at least not the one on the vinyl, tape, or CD versions that I have from 1989. This version is from an extremely rare 12" single I'm still trying to find. It's the one with nothing but two remix versions of Pictures on it (4:44, and 8:05), and no sleeve with a black&white photo on it like most retail copies had.

  • pictures of you great song!

  • ive been living so long in my pictures of u that i almost believe that the pictures are all i can fell (8)

    u.u 18

  • Disintegration. Best fucking album they ever did. Track 9 a highlight. covered it once.

  • Love this song!!!

  • this song is so beautifal. Just like u2snumber1fan says, i love creepers. hah

  • Quite possibly one of the most beautiful songs of all time <3

  • well said my friend

  • i love this song my life actually is like this sucks but hey its ok at least there is a song sucks to feel this way like i do but i hope everyone else enjoys it.

  • magica!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this song makes me think of the British man I love with all my heart...who I will one day meet (soon) ....and right now we have technology..but it feels just like pictures and this song touches my heart, and makes me want to run to be with him...an american girl..in love big time w/ my English soul-mate...

  • Sarah, very touching event here... lots of words between your words tells more of a story than you put down here... try to believe in new love!.... jef

  • thanks jef for your kind words...and i am trying!!

  • What people don't realize is that "Goth" as you call it did not exist at that time. Now people listen to The Cure in 2009 and call them "goth"... I guess you can call their music whatever you like but in my mind it's not "goth".

  • The cure is something all there own

  • yeah the cure is hardly what i would call "Goth Rock"

  • Great version!!

  • best goth song ever . a song u can really dance to with your partner

  • Hate to set it against you, but this is really after the goth phase of The Cure. The Cure accidentally invented goth rock, but this song actually happened after they abandoned any role in having done so. This is actually the pop phase that The Cure went through.

  • Standing on the beach/the singles. That's a good start.

  • this extended version is awesome

  • Comment removed

  • i listened this song for the first tme after a love-summer...oooh...i hate romantic people!

  • Comment removed

  • this extended version is amazing

  • it's so calming it makes me wanna sleep....

  • i just realized this song is 8 minutes long...damn

i listen to it all the time and never even realized hahhah

  • That's because normally it's only 7:28 at most, if you listen to the version on Disintegration, anything right down 4:44 otherwise. This version is an awful rare exception.

  • Head On The Door is the best Cure album from start to finish, without question. Disintegration is good, but not as good.

  • I love listening to this song!

  • Ive been living so long with these pictures of you, that I almost believe that the pictures are all I can do....

  • Listen to their early stuff !- Faith, Pornography and Seventeen Seconds. Great albums!

  • i like the cure alot, what albums should i check out?

  • Hey there infested655. Ya should check out their album "Wish" it's probably my favourite album. Either that or "Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me". Hope this helped.

  • Get their Disintegration which is , in my opinion, one of the greatest albums of all time. I think Disintegration is good place to start with

  • you should always start with their highest selling album, then listen to the greatest hits and see what songs you like the most and then track those albums down. start by checking their wikipedia discography page.

  • WoW !!!

  • yes ,, i agree,, one of the best

  • This is definitely one of the best songs ever been written!!! and no, I am certainly not exaggerating! It is maybe, just maybe, my favourite Cure's song ever.... It always makes me cry!!!!!
