Disintegration was the last album I bought before emigrating from Dublin in 1989. I'm now on my 3rd copy (sadly not vinyl now). I reckon I'm just very lucky that the album I most associate with the bitter-sweet memories of leaving me home town also happens to be timeless. And the bass in this makes me wanna smile always. This song is the crowning glory of a sublime piece of work. Why no album version posted, it's wonderful.

No, the version on Disintigration is most definitely not this one, not even close, alas. Or at least not the one on the vinyl, tape, or CD versions that I have from 1989. This version is from an extremely rare 12" single I'm still trying to find. It's the one with nothing but two remix versions of Pictures on it (4:44, and 8:05), and no sleeve with a black&white photo on it like most retail copies had.
