  • "Lorrainie seems more annoyed by Biff than threatened "

I guess that'll be why she kicks him in the groin and hits him over the head with a cardboard box. Jeez remind me never to "annoy" you Matthew.

  • So you are fine with the scene in A1985 where Biff mistreats Lorraine for about 10 mins. But the scene in 1955 that comes AFTER the scene in A1985, that lasts like a minute, that just ruins everything?!

It’s not like you are complaining that the glass is half empty, or even a quarter empty, you are complaining that the glass is full of water and you’d rather have coke. You are just impossible to please!

  • "Since when did Biff only wants Lorraine, not only was that never established in the first film..."

well it sort of is by the fact we only ever see him with any other women.

"it wasn't even established in this film"

Are you kidding! What the hell did you think Biff ment when he told Lorraine "your my girl!"

  • "It is something Romeo would say to his Juliet."

Yes, because grabbing her in a threatening manner and screaming at her, while she runs away in fear, saying that "SOME DAY YOU'LL BE MY WIFE!!!" is something Romeo would say.

    Charming.

He sexually assaults her during lunch, makes a threat in reply to her "I'm not your girl."

"Well, maybe you don't know it yet."

    Finally, attempting to rape her.

Seriously, you seem to miss the point in a lot of your reviews, especially here.

  • I thought it did look like a choking rather than an ear-pulling on screen.

  • THEM CROOKED VULTURES I LOVE YOU

  • I'd just like to say for your Incredibles review. I watched the film when I was younger and I must say things like Mr. Incredible thinking he lost his entire family or being tortured really don't cross a kid's mind in the slightest. All they're thinking is

"Ooh, how are they gonna get out of this one?"

  • I'm 14 years old and I think Lira was being a huge brat for not just removing the hand bag and that Mrs. Kolter (am I spelling that right?) didn't really do anything wrong.

  • Han Solo was never a good man, he was always...Lucas. A good man would have turned down the award after the first DS blew up "I should have been there from the beginning." A good man would have lead the attack on the 2nd DS, not passed the suicide mission onto his "friend". A good man wouldn't have left Luke alone in the freezing temperatures of Hoth. A good man wouldn't have groped a women who told him to let go of her. There were no good men in Star Wars, people, not a single one.

  • Biff did want Lorraine in the first movie. Think back the very first scene we see him in, he acts like a total jerk towards George after crashing his car and calls Marty a butthead just for looking at him. But when it comes to Lorraine, even though she's not even there he wants to say hi to her, even 30 years later he's still thinking about her.

  • CM, your determination towards good movie criticism kicks me in the nuts repeatedly without apology. That's a good thing.

  • One has to ask oneself could CM possibly slow down the pace at which he makes reviews. The answer, Yes he Can! Just add in responses to responses, and inside jokes at star trek videos, and this generation may not see those requested reviews done.

  • (cont) Also it's pretty clear Lorraine doesn't want him, but he keeps going after her.

Don't you think if he just wanted any girl, he would have given up on Lorraine and tried his luck with someone eles?

  • @buc555 Since there are so few scenes with he and Lorraine, its hard to say for sure. Which is why all we have to go on is what is being said and done in those scenes. None of the three scenes give the impression that he only has eyes for Lorraine, only for *parts* of Lorraine. Parts that belong to virtually every girl on earth as well.

  • @confusedmatthew You are right we can't say for sure. Which is why whatever Biff does around Lorraine is fine. We never see him with any other women, only ever Lorraine. Biff never mentions her boobs or legs or body or any of her "parts". As for "every girl on earth" by that logic you prob think he'd go after some 90 year old women with warts all over her.

  • I always thought Biff only had eyes for Lorraine, even in the first film. It's not like we ever see him harassing any other girls in the film.

Plus I don't know if you can really draw any major conclusions about the way Biff feels about Lorraine from the first film since they only have two scenes together, and in one of them he’s drunk.

  • @Gemasted Right, so it's so horrible that kids are being given quality films to watch, instead of the dross that they're usually given. /sarcasm

Seriously, if you hate something just because it's not aimed at you, then I don't know what I could possibly respond back to you with.

  • @TheGerkuman

No but see Dreamworks makes films targeted at both kids and adults, where the humor itsn't dumbed down to kid level. pixar follows that rule that kids can't watch anything about anything but people smiling and thinking happy thoughts and thats why i hate pixar. Just to give an example i recently saw Aliens vs monsters thinking it would be bad but it surprised me and i saw myself laughing alot.. now i also recently saw WALL-E and i stopped at the middle because it was so stupid..

  • @Gemasted 'pixar follows that rule that kids can't watch anything about anything but people smiling and thinking happy thoughts'

Are you sure you're watching the same films as me? Because a LOT of depresisng things happen in Pixar movies. Heck, a lot of depressing things happen in disney movies. That isn't shiny happy people.

  • @TheGerkuman

Just because something depressing happens doesn't mean its targeted at both adults and children.. i think practically every disney film/pixar film ever made have a depressing moment.. what i meant when i said smiling people and happy thought is that the movie itsn't very deep...

  • The reason why i hate pixar is because all their movies are children films.. while dreamworks makes actually family films.. the only 2 pixar movies i like is UP and ofcause Incredibles.

  • I liked Minority Report, but I can't believe some people thought it was one of Spielberg's best. Plus I never really thought too much into the film.

  • You should have told the guy that called you a Nazi "fuck you" not Ebert. Ebert is allowed to have his own opinion about the film.

  • I think your Pixar film child/adult balance is way off. Kids care less about quality than essence. If the films were made for kids they wouldn't put half the effort that they do because kids don’t require crystal clear images or perfectly crafted stories. Movies are a jumping place for their imagination. The quality of the films are for adults, but to appeal to a child like side of them. I’d argue that they are marketed for adults (because they have the money) to feel like a child again.

  • One thing I wondered about back to the future 2 was why did lorraine go along and marry biff anyway? Maybe Biff just pretended to hold a psychic reading and was channeling George like Papa lazarou in The league of gentlemen lol.

Biff: Hello lorraine. I am george. Now give your wedding ring to biff tannen. Lorraine: Why?

Biff: Just do it. I'm dead now there's no point in having it.

He then takes her wedding ring and when he's himself again he says "You're my wife now."

  • @mummra4ever Biff would kill Marty if she didn't if I recall.

  • @Sgtcrispytoast Later on CM does apology and say he doesn't actually mean the insults and what not. But it really doesn't sound like he respects Ebert's opinion much.

  • No I don't remember that. The only time I remember Biff threatening Lorraine was if (and this is long after they're married) she left him he could have marty thrown in prison as well as threatening to cut off the rest of her families credit cards or something.

  • @mummra4ever Biff was threatening her with something I believe.

  • I had to wake up early this morning to go into work, I was tired and not in the best mood; then I say your barney frank thing and my day was fine! :)

  • i really wish you would continue the chase responses... :(

  • Thumbs up if you thought Matthew's Barney Frank impression was spot on.

  • Oh no, the Patriot Act.

The government might find out what library books I'm reading, or access my medical records.

  • Not to complain, but does anyone else find the video's volume kinda quiet or is my computer broken? lol

  • @kbomb13 lol i thought it was just me... guess not

  • I think what the film major was getting at was that Retard-Washington D.C. was a microcosmic metaphor for what Spielberg perceived as the entire nation under the Patriot Act; using one city as a metaphor for what Spielberg wanted to discuss. It's kind of like A Separate Peace's use of a small area of the world to represent a large area of the world, only Minority Report was both far dumber and had far less homoeroticism, lol.

  • Ariel also had problems with considering her friends' personal discomfort, looking beyond the skin and apperance of Eric before falling in love and choosing hot guys over people who actually know and care for her.

  • the reason why your Incredibles review was not liked by most people because it was mostly positive when you where going to to a negative review of it.

  • What the hell? Matthew, did you recently find out that you have anger management issues? This guy calls you a Nazi, and you act calmly. But Minority Report causes you to scream as loud as you can?

  • While I don't have any real responses to your videos, I do wish to point out one thing: If you respect others' opinions even though they don't necessarily have to agree with yours, why do you constantly scream, "FUCK YOU!" to Ebert? Mind you, I actually agreed with your review, but it was Ebert's OPINION that Minority Report was good and he recommended it.

  • @NoLimit3020 I said I respect peoples opinion. I didn't say Eberts opinion cannot piss me off. lol.

  • @confusedmatthew Not trying to insult you or anything but you began attacking Ebert ,calling him and idiot and talking about how much you'll revel in his embarrassment. Not to mention you also called him irresponsible simply for recommended a movie he liked.

It didn't sound like you respected his opinion at all really. I'm not trying to attack you or anything, just pointing out some of my observations.

  • @Sgtcrispytoast recommending*.

  • @Sgtcrispytoast To add on to that, later in the intro you say how if they actually were true in their opinions in the film they were simply stupid.

  • @Sgtcrispytoast

For me, it is the difference between respect and tolerance. I can respect another's opinion while still having no tolerance of it.

  • @confusedmatthew Guess that makes sense.

    Kind of.

  • @confusedmatthew Well if you erespect it than don`t tell him ythat he is an idiot, the only reason you don`t treat him with the same curtisy is people here on youtube is because han`t got a youtube account and is far away.

  • @NoLimit3020

I like to use this analogy. Do you think it is reasonable to say that the Bold and the Beautiful is more artistic than Shakespeare's King Lear?

With artistic tastes we tend to just say, "oh well that's your opinion" but if we are going to have an honest discussion here we have to be reasonable. If you think Bold and the Beautiful trumps King Lear, then you are an idiot.

  • wow so meny responces

  • Responding to someone who calls you a Nazi by speaking in reasonable words and a calm tone... but then going into Rage Mode as soon as Minority Report comes up. You are so classic :D

  • @typeNtardis What can I say? I care about movies WAY more than I care about me. lol!

  • that analysis of biff is the crazyest thing i've ever heard. biff was a dick, what more needs said?

  • FIRST!
