I don't want to be a jerk...But the shadows were all over the place. Also, Direction of light seems to be a problem as well. Play around with white balances too. You can get a killer cooler or warmer sky then correct for it (if needed) with CT gels on your flash to produce a believable skin tone. Try diffusing your key light (softbox or umbrella) then don't diffuse your kicker light. That contrast will make for a more dramatic image.Check out a guy by the name of Joe McNally.The guy is a genius!

One of the photographer's tasks is to get the model relaxed, and he failed... Perhaps they are very good friends or family but a professional photographer don't work like that.
