40,000 people die each year because they either can't afford or don't have healthcare, I believe we should all have healthcare, I really don't understand the reasoning of I want to have my healthcare but I don't want to pay for his, we're all in this together and we have shown how greedy and thoughtless we could be, seriously look at how the rest of the world sees us.
@Feeltheh8 Seeking help from others with your health difficulties, that's the obscenity here, not the wishes of other candidates to invade other countries
People should stop looking at the Government like milk and cookies at grandmas house. Sometimes I want to leave my house without a sweater on and if I get cold, I get cold.
If a man doesn't want healthcare, leave him the fuck alone!
Now what about this, if a guy is sick and he couldn't afford healthcare, how bout bill him latter and put him into dept, instead of putting everyone else in dept. Sounds fair to me. Let the guy live, just bill him later. It works with College tuition.
Ironically, this is Paul's weaker issue to debate. He is for privatization of healthcare, while many liberals are for government control of healthcare. I don't understand how Paul says that government caused healthcare problems - it's the privatization. Anyone up for a reasonable debate with me? I really want to vote for Ron Paul but his stance on healthcare is not right
@Sappyspartan I completely agree with you. Im quite worried about his stance on healthcare also. What about people who CANT afford healthcare? let them die? I've had first hand experience with healthcare issue in my family and i know how hard it is to get healthcare when you dont have money or cant afford insurance. To just say "leave it all to charities and family" is so naive!!!!
@fadiisabella Also ironic how he talks about corporate corruption and stuff like that in the debates, yet he advocates for privatized healthcare, one of the most corrupt things ever, at least here in America.
@Sappyspartan yes i agree. I agree with him on his other arguements on foreign aid etc, but medicine and healthcare is a HUGE issue that is extremely important and shouldnt be taken lightly by the American people in their vote. I love his libertarian views, but just wish he involved socialized medicine, kind of an oxymoron i know LOL, but it would be a great combination.
@fadiisabella It would be the best combination possible. I'm for either Obama or Ron Paul - it will be a tough decision, considering that Ron Paul makes it. I wish him the best, because he is the only good candidate. Flip-flop Romney is a big fat fake whose only good characteristics are giving good first impressions, charisma and vague talk.
@Communist2012 He is for privatization and since he is a healthcare professional he would get more money from the customers by setting the prices himself.
Privatization and the abolishment of government control also means more freedom to private companies like GlaxoSmithKline.
Well, what the fuck I care, I'm from Finland and I wont vote anyone to be the USA's president in 2012. At least the BKT of USA would rise like the Russia's BKT now during Putin if Paul was elected.
First Paul says Freedom means taking your owns risks. Then he says the people should'nt pay for other people. Then he comes up with "in case the people could not pay for themselves, their friends and community can help out". LOL Btw, could the poor, unemployed friends of the guy who needs treatment pay a 400k bill? No they couldn't. This person would just die.
@SeagalIsMyBitch "Then he says the people shouldn't pay for other people". No, what Dr. Paul says is that with liberty comes responsibility. We have a moral responsibility to take care of each other, but we should do it without employing a strong handed third party to enforce each other.
Paul is said to have a picture of Friedrich Hayek framed in his office. It's too bad Paul doesn't share Hayek's views on minimum health care. It's one of the few things that I agree with Hayek about.
the liberals trying to make it "impossible to fail" in all aspects with government programs up the ass, will eventually make the fed government fail, and if the fed government fails it has 300,000,000 angry constituents who are probably gonna go hungry because it costs 20 dollars for a gallon of gas and those federal researve notes aren't even worth the paper they're written on. funny thing is most libs are atheists, they should believe in natural selection, not to sound harsh.
cmon america, read ALL H.R documents, patents and propositions for 2013/2016, and see who helped them thru congress, and see who opposed them, all americans have the chance and choice to read thru all laws and statutes before they are passed, next time you vote, vote r.p, or chi-merica will go deeper down the shitter, america is an amazing country with amazing people, its just the politicians that need restructuring, peace!
sure, everyone can get care now thanks to that democratic provision... just one problem, now ALL insurance companies will go bankrupt. People will turn to the govt., and IT is bankrupt. Hyperinflation... here we come
Imagine how much cheaper medical costs would be if everyone payed out of pocket and their were no guaranteed government payments coming in. Imagine how much more careful people would be. Imagine the amount of wealth everyone would have to be able to pay for their own and others health care. No doubt Ron Paul's position is to cut the costs from militarism around the world before he dips into health care. He recognizes we need to 'ween' people off of the gov'ts dependency. CNN is trying to warp RP

Ron Paul is a qualified healthcare professional, he knows his stuff, he knows what he is talking about
He is more qualified than the rest of the bureaucrat politicians bought, paid for and in the pocket of the pharmaceutical drug lobbies
Ron Paul has been taking on these companies ! and will never sell out to them, and will reduce costs in medicine and healthcare
Vaccine and drug giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) has been fined Over Illegal Vaccine Experiments Killing 14 Babies - its true go look !

@TheFinlandnator he won't get any money, he is removing govt involvement from healthcare.
And this video shows how messed up american healthcare is, it needs a shakeup.
He has also criticized GlaxoSmithKline and pharmaceutical lobbies, and said he will seek cheaper alternatives on the market

Free markets aren't all there cracked up to be
The banking crisis has been caused by bankers taking unreasonable risks with the public's money.
The excesses of Capitalism have to be tethered by the needs (and security) of the public (Socialism).
Ron Paul is wrong and not thinking about what's best for the mass of individuals in need of medical care that can't be solved at A&E.
Industrialised nations like Britain hold on tightly to the National Health Service because it's in our well-being.
