Man , in wich mode did you record this video? I have the same camcorder, and I think tat 720p is bether for recording if you plan to move around than 1080i. If you plan not to move, than1080i is bether.... What do you think?
the Vado HD is great for its size and price (about $95 new and shipped) but this is a real HD camera with optical zoom but bigger, if you care about size, get the Vado, if you need zoom and 1080 get the R10 - simple.
If you get a Kodak ZI6 or Kodak ZX1 which can both be had for less than $100 use AA batteries. Most HD camcorders have some sort of Lithium battery.
I use the Kodak ZI6 which shoots video in 720P HD. It doesn't have image stabilization or an optical zoom but It works great for me. It even records in Stereo and uses AA batteries. It nice to be able to easily drop in a pair of AA's batteries when your batteries die.
hi dear friend i would like to know is this camera really good for hd shots and what kind of battery does it use and what kind of memory it use thanks
Many people don't wana go into depth with quality etc... Full HD and a good standard quality picture/video image is good enough for me, i got this camera, and it's good enough for the stuff I do.
Hi! A question: in the end, after 1:30 when you enter the house - the picture is blurry and then it focuses - did y the camera do this automatically or did you do it manually?? I want to use this effect and I'm thinking about buying this cam. TNX :)
that is the auto focus not quite adjusting properly as I moved into the house. I've not experienced the issue when filming outside but the change in light may have been an issue.
what resolution did u use for this vid? i have tried using the 2 1080i option n both look horrible on my mac. but it looks ok on regular 1080p. have u experienced the same issue with urs? btw big yard, nice plants. :)
How do you find using the zoom lever? I might have a fault on mine because it's a pain trying to zoom back after zooming in to a subject (see my video response).
For me, it's the other way around, zooming in feels a little awkward. It could definitely be positioned better, but I think the trick to getting good footage is to not use use the zoom too much anyway.
how do you get that quality mine comes out rubbish

The quality isn't as sharp like say, Sony Sony HDR-CX100.
Really, if you turn it a little fast its all unclear and unsharp.

I'm so confused.
I reaaally love the Flip Mino HD's design, but the HMX-R10 HD and Vado HD is much better when it comes to the recording quality.
What. The. F#%&. Should. I. Choose!?
Btw, you got a really nice backyard, worked like anti-depressiv for me. (Not because I've been on them. Not yet.)
AGQ181 2 years ago
@AGQ181
the thing is that the HMX-R10 HD is a "real" camera.

You can put AA batteries (or another) when you run out of battery?
and what weighs approximately 5 minutes in 720p resolution?
XNuncaDejesDeGrabarX 2 years ago
@XNuncaDejesDeGrabarX Nope, you can't put in different batteries, just the standard one it comes with.

Well this camera can shoot up to 1080p but youtube HD can only support 720p. So is this video worth it?
jiboo20 2 years ago
Usually Full HD video could let reserve crop to zoom in for more accuracy and detail or for a full HD TV
And also it support 720p~480p recording for reduce free space disk.

You can use a tripod with it but I don't think additional lenses and filters are possible.
