This experiment was done on methyl mercury (the kind found in fish and some dental fillings), not ethyl mercury (the kind in thimerosal). This study doesn't support Gate's conclusions about vaccines, nor was it designed to. Ethyl mercury is several times less toxic than methyl mercury and cycles out of the body much faster, so the amount that is in vaccines doesn't stay around long enough to cause this kind of damage.
