Those fighting the American Revolution were fighting for freedom, liberty...the terrorists in the Middle East are fighting to impose oppression, control, tyranny, and fear on those they seek to dominate. In the 1770's our unconventional warfare was almost exclusively aimed at the British Army and their logistics, today the terrorists just kill..anyone that's not them.
@ghampton106 have you ever talked to one of these people who fight? if you asked them why they fight do they say they want to install a dictatorship & tyranny? thats just silly, I really dont believe you can think they are actually fighting for those reasons. I, however, have spoken with many of these kids who choose to pick up arms against the coalition, they do so because their entire families, in some cases entire villages where decimated &ripped to shredds from usa forces, its called revenge

That is there cause, because that is there only defense against the superior foe. We don't post up on the side of the road with a death wish. We follow the chains of command. Fulfill the mission. It's ugly, but it's a job you signed up for. Freedom is key in all of this, remember that. Look thur the smoke.
