When this album came out, I was all into reading/writing drum chops. So I took this one to my 'weekly' drum teacher. He couldn't play it or even hear it apparently. Dropped him in 3 weeks time...joined a Jimi Hendrix clone band. hehehe

Tejas is by far my fave ZZ Top album. I found an old vinly copy earlier this year and I adore it. There's no substitute for the old original sound. Wish someone would put all of the songs on You Tube.

Hang on to your vinyl, the CD mix of this song (and the whole album) sux, unless they've redone it. I want my money back and a replacement if they did. I think they replaced Frank with a drum machine. Tejas was their best album but apparently not their best seller. Shame... it's a beautiful piece of work, this song is tight and reminds me of Brown Sugar with the moderate speed but intense beat, and the hard strike on the guitar chords.
