  • Challenger- bottom 11's

    Cobra jet- bottom 9's

Its easy to see who is really about actual racing and can get it done. Hmm, That's a hard choice..

And lets not forget about the $43k Challenger SRT8 that can't out run a $28k Mustang GT

  • @Marker1989 - I agree completely. You may realize from my other videos that I'm a Mustang owner myself. This video was just to give the world the first look at the Challenger Drag Pack back when it came out. But FRPP FTW!

In fairness, an SRT8 comparable Mustang GT will run you $35k these days... but still cheaper than the $45k+ for the Challenger SRT8. The Mustang is still the leader of the pack... and coincidentally the only one that has stuck around for a STRAIGHT 45+ years! Imagine that.

  • @6605stang - My statement was not directed at you, I was just stating my opinion on how big of a joke the Challenger and Dodge in general are. I know there will always be nutswingers for GM and Dodge but Ford is seriously kicking their asses.. like always lol. The last thing I would do is give my money to Government Motors..

  • @Marker1989 - thats cool. Was just clarifying that I agree with ya.

And as much as you probably don't want to hear it... you have ALREADY given your money to Gov't Motors... that is if you paid taxes recently. My only hope is that GM stock opens artificually high, allowing the Gov't to sell and get a portion of our money back and let the stock settle right back down to penny status like it's truly worth.

  • @6605stang the new challenger 392 is running 12.4s in the 1/4 mile while weighing 4300lbs, just look it up on youtube..dont go by the stupid figures the magazines give, go by real people who have the car and take it to the track

  • @hhsfball05 - I'm sorry, but I've completely missed your point (if there even was one). First of all, this is a video of the 2009... Challenger Drag Pack. Not the new 2011 street 392. Look it up in the title line. And I don't quite see where I was in any way "going by the stupid figures the magazines" gave me, I was going by REAL VIDEO of the CAR AT THE TRACK! Would you like to try again, this time trying to make a coherent point?

  • @Marker1989 I agree that the Mustang is generally a better performing car (lets not even get into how good their V6s are). But a GT whooping an SRTs ass is a little outlandish. Ive spanked many a non-5.0 GT in just my '09 Challenger RT. Ill agree that the Challenger is a hog for the most part, but it captures a style that no other car company can replicate. Expensive maybe...but being the boss of the road isnt always about being fast :)

  • @bl00draven13 yep i agree. even if you have an extreemely fast car , if it isnt comfortable to sit in and drive, then what is the point? challengers are the most comfortable car ive been in since my old 1983 caprice classic. it was like driving a v8 sofa. my buddy had a 79 caprice with a 450hp 350 in it. like the challenger it wasnt too awful fast on the take off but had a very high top end, speed and comfort. like your woman could b the most beautiful in the world but if shes a bitch then cya!

  • 11.24 for the one in the near lane and 11.32 for the one in the far lane

  • Just wait until they get into the hands of full-time racers who will tweak the setup and get to really know the car. Definitely well into the tens.

  • How Fast did they go?
