@Shibuza7 iblis is not an angel, rather he is a jinn. ibn katheer states that iblis was a very pious and practising jinn before his rejection of doing sujood to adam alayhi salaam & that iblis is the father of all jinn. wAllaahu a'lam.
Surah Kahf 18:50 - And (remember) when We said to the angels: "Prostrate yourselves unto Adam." So they prostrated themselves except Iblis (Satan). He was one of the jinn; he disobeyed the Command of his Lord...
@mohammadibnyaqub That is what i meant brother. Allah commanded the angels to prostrate. So Instead of saying: I am not one to prostrate myself to man. Iblis could have just said: I am a jinn not an angel. At that moment he forgot he was a jinn.
May Allah protect us from having even an ounce of arrogance in our hearts.
