Manuel Soto and Johnny Rodz were great. Soto gave the bad guys hell and nearly beat them but always lost. Rodz would beat the hell out of Strongbow and Garea but would always lose. I think the both should be in the WWE hall of fame. I enjoyed watching those 2.
I loved those guys Soto and Sanchez in singles and especially as a team - would love to see some tag matches on YOU TUBE especially the match against Spiros Arion and Waldo Von Erich does anyone remember that match?
@wannabenj that you mention it. i was just trying to look up pete sanchez, but all im finding is the pete sanchez from the 80's and 90's, but yes i sure do remember that team. they were jobbers that always gave the heels a good go, unlike the other jobbers in those days that were nothing more than punching bags
@wannabenj Louie Cerdan (Gino Brito) was co holder of the WWWF Tag Team Titles with Tony Parisi... Flores was a pretty good mid carder. During that time frame, Fabulous Frank Monte, Bugsy McGraw.... Those were the days.. Thank the Lord for the Youtube... LOL
And thanks to matbaskin for posting these treasures of yesterday..
Nice toupee on the ring announcer - and great enthusiasm too. Talk about old school, this is the only footage I've ever seen of Manny Soto on YouTube. He was a lower mid-carder, primarily for the old WWWF from the late '60s through the '70s (on the same level of Rick McGraw, Steve Travis or Salvatore Bellomo) and always worked as a "face".
@elc1960 The only difference is that Soto wasn't as glorified as those others you mentoned. This made his performance and victories all the more appreciated IMO.
chavo guerra reminds me alot of johnny rods
