the closer to 90 degree angle the more you are using your shoulders and not using yer chest. conversely, a flat bench works the chest intensively. The angle this guy is using is proper for upper chest development.
am doing 90 pound dumbells and find it very hard getting the weights up to starting position before i start.av tryed the technique of sitting the weights on my knees and moving bk and flicking em up like in this vid,bt i cant flick up any 70,althou if i get some1 to lift the other am fine, althou it can be energy sapping.
Now 55kg's are quite heavy 'cause I have dieted down about 6kg's. Yesterday I had only four and three rep sets with 55 kg's (but bit more slower negatrive, ang elbows more "in"). Next offseason I wanna go 60's !
hey dude, wouldn't you mind to set your incline to 45 degree then try to get up the most heavy weight you can do a normal rep. I want to see how get those weights up on the first rep. I'd try kicking it up with the legs but it doesn't look so good for me. I would like to see how you would do it since your form looks so good thanks
Some time a go I tried to do high-incline press (over 45 degree), and jerking weights with kicking legs was very uncomfortable. Now I had shoulder problems, and don't use high angle any more. Only lighter weight I used some times little more angle (about 35 degree). When I do dmbl shoulder presses, I clean my weight (biggest are 40-42 kg) with no problem. But high-incline are very uncofortable (it took too much energy to start).
Great !
What strength does it give ? For what muscle ?
