A+ for an absolutely true statement. The idea of it is that it was meant to be cheesy.

Unfortunately, individuals destroyed the purpose of it. It was meant to be largely a group music, and meant to be for fun, but ppl like Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez corrupted it to be about individuals. Backstreet Boys were better than NSync, and BBMak was right up there with them. 98 degrees was only Nick Lachey...though he was DEFINITELY the better of his group.

Wrong...Lance and Joey are good. They just never got their chances to show it. While the record label may have done part of it. You wanna talk about average singers? Justin Timberlake is NOT a great singer. His sound is different, but he's also autotuned to crap most of the time.

The Backstreet Boys not only had BETTER singers, but they actually split the load and deeper subject matter. Better lyrics, better singers(You forgot Brian, who is ALSO good.)

You use "GOOD" as if there's some SET group of characteristics which make a singer good. Brian Littrell was the driving force behind the BSB. They had their music written AND performed by themselves.
